These crappy wood dies are the worst. I bought a bunch from a guy 2nd hand on Facebook. They crack, and the stitching hole pins fall out. Don't waste your money on Chinese junk, honestly. Buy real metal dies from Texas.
Thanks for the video. I have been in the Gasket industry for almost 20 years and we used to bend the blades for the rule dies by hand. It is an art. We used to cut the pattern (whichever pattern you wanted) on a figure saw by hand too. We had over 13000 dies in our inventory. Nowadays however we use CNC Oscillating knive machines like ATOM machinery to move away from manual die operations and tool costs. Very interesting video nonetheless.

The bender can only bend so much so we still have to bend pieces by hand sometimes. We use a Gerber Profile 408 but still have a Sabermatic in our shop lol. Takes skill for sure!

I run a commercial printing house, and we have these at our factory, the laser machine is Mitsubishi Fiber 2000 watts, the rule bending is Chinese made. I can tell you that even with the automatic rule bending machine, you still need highly skilled staff to make these dies, the machine cannot bend the rule to the maximum small corners and many times you need to finish it manually before inserting them into the wood.

I make dies. It’s not easy. He had a great machine. But without the close eye of your own within inches of looking it can be off. I need a tolerance of .01

This is gap is called bridge, If we cut all without gap then the plywood will get out with whole cutting. And when we install the blade there is no any strength with the die board when making die cutting and creasing
