Happy Halloween! 🎃👻 Today’s video is part 1 of the 2022 Oslove Holiday Series that will run from now until December. I will be showcasing some new creations and gift ideas. Today I made a Pumpkin Seed Oil Deep Conditioner featuring high quality ingredients from Oslove Organics. This deep conditioner is super moisturizing and restorative. It will hydrate dry, brittle hair and add shine and bounce. ➡Key Ingredients: ✨ Unrefined Pumpkin Seed Oil ✨Organic Hair Massage Oil ✨Organic Shea Butter These key ingredients can be found over at Oslove Organics right now.
Hi! I’m trying to start my own hair care line. Did u take any courses in college to learn what ingredients to use? Right now I’m just making natural products which need to be put in the fridge and don’t last very long I’m really interested in learning if you’re offering a course or a class.
Panthenol is a cool down ingredient. It is not heat stable over 70⁰ C or 158⁰ F. It is inadvisable to heat it past 40⁰ C (104⁰ F). You can reserve some water (1:1 ratio panthenol to distilled water) to pre-disolve it before adding at cool down.
Hi! You may be referring to the liquid version, d-panthenol. I am using dl-panthenol which is the powder version. According to the manufacturer, they both can be used in cool or heated phases/formulations. However, I have heard that the liquid version can be sensitive to heat because it is less potent. However, I am always happy and willing to learn new things. I would be happy to read up on documents about this further. If you have anything you would like to share, don’t hesitate. Thanks again for sharing! 😊💜
@@HelloWakeUp9 Yes, I know that. It is in the name and clearly stated by the manufacturer before purchase. 😅You can choose between the liquid (D-panthenol) or powdered versions (Dl-panthenol), but they are not processed the same way. I prefer the powdered version. This is directly from the manufacturer, not my words: "D,L-Panthenol, aka Pro-Vitamin B5, is a stable racemic mixture of D-Panthenol and L-Panthenol. The human body readily absorbs DL-Panthenol through the skin and it rapidly converts D-Panthenol to Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5), a natural constituent of healthy hair and a substance present in all living cells. When it comes to moisturization properties- improved hydration, reducing water loss and maintaining skin elasticity and softness- this racemic mixture is 100% active. When applied for skin epithelization (wound healing), only D-Panthenol is converted to Vitamin B5 and not the L-Panthenol, so D,L-Panthenol has only half of the physiological activity of D-Panthenol." -LotionCrafter As stated before, if there is any material you would like to share for me to read about the powdered form being heat sensitive, please feel free to share. I would be happy to review it. However, I have been using panthenol in the heated phase for years, it has not failed me yet. 💜
You're doing way too much now move along. She's stated it's the powdered form which is not heat sensitive per her manufacturer. And she's not new to formulating with it. 🤷
Hi ! Thank you for this amazing recipe. However i have a question, i'd like to add some powders like brahmi and kappor kaachli, do you know when I should incorporate those into the recipe, please ?
Thankyou so much for sharing this 🎉, i hope you will be able to see this, what would i need to add if i want it to be really thick, more thicker than the one you have made
I want to start using preservatives in my products I've never made anything from your videos but I typically don't have any other ingredients. I'm excited about learning how to use them. I've been making shea butter and stuff for years 😊☺️
Hi yaya you are great 😍😍 i just love you beautiful voice, 💞 Can you make a hair cream or mask for overnight? Which will help to make the hair soft silky smooth and straight?
Hi Yaya, thanks for this recipe. I was wondering if I can use Aloe Vera Juice instead of water. I've used a few of these ingredients in a similar recipe before but this one seems simpler. Continue being awesome.
Hi! I am glad you think so, because I simplified it from the original formula 😅. I was trying to make it easier. Aloe Vera Juice can sometimes destabilize your product depending on its interaction with other ingredients. Mainly the emulsifier. Some opt to use Aloe Vera concentrate or powder instead. You can definitely test it out to see how it will respond in the formula. 😊💜
Hi dear Yaya. I'm little confused that what can I used instead of btms?? I have cetyl alcohol n emulsifying wax. Kindly guide Bundle of luv from Pakistan
Absolutely! It is lightweight enough for oily hair types and thick enough for dryer hair types. The softening properties work for all. However, it is always best to test it out and see what works best for you. 💜
Hi! It will really depend on your formula. I usually use Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin. However, it can be weak in some cases. It really just depends. Sometimes I use Liquid Germall Plus because I know it is effective. However, many do not agree with this ingredients, so I try to use others. Optiphen can be very confusing to work with. However, once you get it, you got it. 😊💜
I need to know how to make a conditioner and shampoo without all of the different phases.. lol I can’t afford to purchase all of the tools and products. Can you please do something a little less complicated? 😊
Hi! Varisoft can be complicated to formulate with. For me, it was a bit tacky feeling in the final product. However, I have to do more testing. I believe BTMS 50 does an amazing job on its own, when it comes to conditioning. However, it may worth the try to test them out. Keep in mind that Varisoft is pH sensitive. 💜
Hi! Some other thickeners can be water-based or oil-based. So, this is complicated to answer. However, for the simplest explanation, look for thickeners like Cetearyl alcohol or stearic acid. Keep in mind that they may change the final product and have a different consistency or skin feel. You also may have to adjust the percentage used. I hope this helps. 💜💜
I did! It makes life so much easier. However, I like formulating with different ingredients and challenging myself to try different things. I am constantly switching in some cases. 😊💜
¡Hola! Se componen de diferentes componentes. BTMS 50 tiene más propiedades acondicionadoras. Son similares, pero tendrá que hacer ajustes si desea reemplazarlos.
Hi! Thanks for watching! You will need a thermometer to check the temperature while they are on the stove. They don't have to be exactly the same. However, similar temperature will decrease the chances of separation or your product destabilizing. I hope this helps. 💜
Hi Egwu! I cannot give legal advice about business practices. I share my hobby for personal and entertaining purposes only. If you use these recipes, you do so at your own risk. I encourage you to test them yourself for stability and make a decision. I hold no responsibility for information used in any manner on this channel. Okay now that the legal stuff is out of the way. 😅 All of my formulas are free. However, most are in the testing stage and would need a professional lab to do a stability test. As long as you are not using my brand or name, it is free. I hope this helps. 😊💜
😂😂😂 Thank you so much yaya, sure I can’t use your name neither your brand, It’s because I really have passions for hair growth treatments and I’ve been following your page lately that was why I was hoping on starting my own DIY and sell for my customers. At least preservatives are not supposed to make it spoil right?
Hi! I would be happy to help. The final product's pH was 5.1 naturally. Meaning, when I checked the pH, I did not have to do any adjustment with citric acid, etc. Was that your question?
