This is the quick, semi-homemade cheaters way of making an apple dumpling type of dessert. I used to make apple dumplings from scratch including the pastry dough, just to make 8 of them took 3hrs, quite a few steps, & a WHOOOOLLLE LOTTA frustration. So much so that Thanksgiving 2007 was the last time I made them! But now with THIS recipe I'll gladly do cuz I ain't about all those frustrating moments that Apple dumplings give me! Lol

I made with pastry puffs strawberry and cream cheese and put fresh sliced strawberries in it slice the puff when it done on one side put cream cheese of course you have to mix cream cheese with suger and little cream. Them on the other side of the puff put strawberry jam on it fold it together oh my my . Its really really good 👍

Back in 1982 I worked at Woolworth cafeteria in Milwaukee Wisconsin, they made the best apple Dumplings' whole apples cored, and filled with the sauce like you made, then wrapped in a pie crust and baked ,they were delicious.
