That's the most interesting procedure I've seen yet. Not a dentist or student here but recognize a nice process. I've bought an articulator and trying to determine the materials and process to go forward. Knowing which materials governs the process.
Yes it can cause harm to your finger and also the bur can come out with a high speed and can hurt you in any way possible. Handle the micromotor with responsibility
I just made that tray I used same as u used to make custom trey in 1:1 proportion but my tray looks whitish from top there are some white patches seen on its surface...what will i've to do for making both inner and outer surfaces become same pinkish in shade...plzz help....🙏 and one more that ur trey surfaces becomes so shiny and clear what will i do to get same as urs??
Those whitish patches are porosities due to more powder ratio . If you are beginner it's okay to face this difficulty because it is hard to measure 1:1 ratio in this method as it is arbitrary . By time you will learn also in the end try to cover it with bowl it will decrease the porosity and while you make the base plate in initial stage if you see porosities then adjust your ratio accordingly because if liquid is more it will flow if powder is more it will create porosities. If you have any doubt dm on dentocare.14 or mail at dentocare14@gmail.com always happy to help
I tried making denture base plate using Vaseline since I didn't had separating media....now it's not been able to remove ...how can I remove it ??..could u pls suggest different ways to remove
You should use cold mould seal as a separating media preferably. Now try to remove it slowly from the posterior side using sharp end of carver or wax spoon after immersed it in water for 5-7 min
Okay if you don't have micro motor then don't do it make it thick firstly then while making the base plate use carver to remove the excess from the cast . But eventually you will need the micromotor anyhow in the end for finishing it off
Okay, that's a very normal thing that happens So there can be multiple reasons for this but one thing is shrinkage as happens with cold cure. When you make a base plate and removes it from the cast immediately after fabricating it, it tends to shrink Better if you remove it from cast then place it again on the cast for sometime or else place it in normal water and it won't shrink So next time do this thing and get back to me and comment if it gets adapted or not
@@dentocare14 I have to preserve the cast at any cost. Any way of removing would work even if it includes breaking of denture base but the cast has to be saved
If by any chance the cast have undercuts there is almost no chance to preserve it . Try keeping it in water or else just try to remove it by breaking it in pieces with the help of burs
@@sabarish.m3297 where are gou from? If you it in india then you can visit "dentalkart" they provide micromotor at a good price and they have wide variety
@@faith286 yes you can . Just take care of only 1 thing . Don't put base plate without cast for long time. And do share videos with your friends , hopefully it will them too Best of luck👍🏻👍🏻
There are certain ways to avoid it 1. Equal amount of liquid & liquid should be poured , extra amount of liquid may result into more porous denture base 2. Cover the denture with a bowl after completion . Trick After completing the pouring add few drops of liquid and smoothen the surface and cover it with bowl
The technic is impressive. But why make this? You can have some good base in wax. This is too much work for maybe nothing. Dont forget some dentists are really bad. But your work is impressive!
Thank you so much. But the thing is in Indian Colleges, this is taught in preclinical. So that's why i made it And you have a valid point that wax is great alternative but those who are entering in the world of dentistry needs this in India
