The comments on where the tricky parts are and what to do about them is especially helpful.

Great vid. I attemped to make a marble for the first time today and my boss said "thats no marble its not round. Thats a paperwieght." Is working with dichoric glass hard? I want to get some my coworker said tubes of it might be easier to work with. The way u finished the marble was helpful to see didnt realize it was possible to remove glass to remove the jack line

Those are neat. Have you made any marbles that resemble the German hand made swirls?

@@Gibbonsglass Not too long ago I made a marble from brown beer bottle glass and the heat source for melting the glass was in the form of a giant 62'' spot Fresnel lens out of a rear projection TV. I may be the first person in the world to make a marble using a giant Fresnel lens as the main heat source for melting the glass

Amazing job! Tell me, what is the device you are shaping made of? and why don't your figures crack when cooling down 0_0 probably sorcery
@Gibbonsglass
@Gibbonsglass Год назад
Thank you! The tool is made out of graphite and the marbles are cooled down very slowly to prevent cracking.

Hi! Wanted to ask what the tool on 5:30 is called? I started doing glass blowing in my university and wanted to know what the tool is called to round the glass used for the marble?

Fastest way is let nozzle produce wavy color inject inside clear nozzle drop into heated oil bath then it need no rolling because pressurized oil bath make marble perfectly round and inner decoration can reflect light create cool, heat or material in water base on color and wavelength of inner reflector and wavelength of each materials

Hello sir. What type of material do you select for inside colour. And i have tried colour glass for inside design, but my pieces kept shattered.

@@azharparvez9971I’m not sure where you are in your glass journey, but all the glass you combine has to have a compatible COE. If you are using compatible glass, then maybe your annealing/cooling schedule is too fast.
