Get the pattern here: mugiwara-cosplay.sellfy.store/p/digital-digitigrade-leg-padding-template-for-fursuits-and-cosplay-pdf-download/ Also available on my Etsy. Also these sort of patterns are really fun to do. Other shapes you want to see in foam?
Random tip for anyone who happens to come across this: Try having a set of pins used for pinning things like this separate from your main set, because once pins get hot glue on them they're not too good for use with fabric anymore.
i know the subtitles and voice over says clay and clay is more accessible but ive noticed that the models in some videos look like theyre 3d printed which is cool (even if they aren't actually 3d printed its cool how they looks like that though)
I mention clay because that is what most people can do and I used to do that too before I got 3d printers. Now I just find it easier to digital sculpt the model instead
@@MugiwaraCosplay hi i order it but IT didnt come to my e-mail yet it just gave my money away 😢 im starting to think that u scammed me.... How long it will take to come to my e-mail? Btw im from Czechia. I order it from ur shop that u have in the coments.
hey! mugi, i just wanted to say u have inspired me to join the fandom and now i just have completed my fullsuit! you are such a inspration to me and your talent is insane!
Wow. I'm definitely gonna try this once I'm old enough to get a job and save up enough money to buy supplies! This is awesome! I love this fandom sm ^^
This is awesome! I plan on purchasing this pattern off of Etsy. Would you suggest making padding pillows so they dont collapse while people hug you or is the foam enough to support?
i know you probably wont see this, but i've been following you'r channel for a while, and when i get a suit it will probably be one of yours. i love your work so much!
How large do you upsize them on the printer? I want to buy the pdf but I have a horrible time understanding measurements and don’t know how to translate it into the printer size
A few questions, -do you think this would still work on a larger body size (300lb and 5’5 range)? -how well does it rebound from being squished once furred -if yes can it be stored squished up for a long time and still rebound?
1. You just scale it up to you own size 2. Pretty well, I see other makers use this method for padding and I couldn't tell it was foam. The fur didn't squeeze the foam. 3. I used this method for the Tasque cosplay, and even after it was stored away for a few weeks, the foam rebound back fine and still looked normal
Hey! I have a pattern for slim digi foam legs. do you think it would be possible to take the foam legs, pin them onto a DTD and then tape over them to create a pattern like you would for non-foam base fursuit legs? in other words; taping up and patterning the foam legs like you would non-foam digi legs to create the legs and padding? If so what’s the best way to do the padding? Thanks in advance! Love your work!
@@MugiwaraCosplay Sort of, but using a pair of foam legs and attaching them to a duct tape dummy and then taping it over with the foam to create a pattern out of it along with the padding
is anyone able to explain HOW to scale it to fit the person? i'm trying to do a similar technique but with a specific feet paw style, but i dont know how to scale it
Hey!! if you can, might wanna add this onto the description because some people may try and add different materials instead of upholstery: Does other foam materials, Like EVA foam, form for this pattern?
@@MugiwaraCosplay would it work to use Velcro and switch out fur patterns, making a costume that's just a bird tale, bird wings (black and red), and an ancient cult style deer skull mask with a black neck piece but I plan on making a full suit next year, this year is a sort of practice round for sewing, I'm planning on joining the community (just for the costume making)
Can I use the same pattern to fur them as the pattern of the shapes but make the rest of the pattern of other parts the the foam isn’t covering and then attach them together or will it not work
@@MugiwaraCosplaycan’t you just use the same pattern to fur the legs and make the pattern for the bits the foam doesn’t cover then sew them together or do I have to re pattern it
Being a furry isn’t about having a fursona or fursuit or participating in the art style, it’s simply having an interest in the concept of anthro animals (technically most “supporters” fall into the line of technically being furries).
Dont have a printer or a way to scale the pattern, as well as not having clay. Not suited for "beginners" Not intentionally being rude but it seems all of your tutorials are making the process.... harder than it should be/ harder than it is.
