In this video, I show you how to make your own in-ear monitors (IEMs) with one dynamic driver and one balanced armature driver. This is a beginner-friendly project that is very easy to make, and the results are excellent. I use a Sonion 2354 balanced armature driver as the main driver, and a 10 millimeter dynamic driver as a bass extension. This gives the IEMs a BA-like sound with excellent detail, clean and good bass and sub-bass.
I also provide the shell 3D asset in the video description, so you can easily print your own shells.
Here is a step-by-step overview of the process:
1. Shell modeling, printing, and polishing.
2. Installing the drivers to the shell, wiring, and tuning.
3. Finishing.
If you're interested in learning how to build your own IEMs, or if you're just curious to see how it's done, I hope this video helps and entertains you!
