There are a few ways this could be happening, but it’s most likely because you are using the Live Loops version of GarageBand. When creating a new song, switch to the “tracks” version and then you’ll have a bunch of effects If you are using the tracks version, then I would suppose that you haven’t downloaded all of the sound packs GarageBand offers you. Go to the Apple Loops menu and press “get more Apple Loops”. Download each pack and you should have all of the effects (they are all free) If you need more help, you can always reply to this message. Here’s a tip! I’ve noticed you copy and paste each region to loop it. _Unless I’m wrong and u actually change something for each region,_ you can tap on the region and select “loop” (as u would for edit, split, setting etc.)
@@sleepy_zeepy sometimes I use loop for drums, but for MIDIs I usually just copy and paste, as it allows me to make edits to the new regions. But I see what you are saying, in this song in particular I copy and pasted without making any edits, which wasted a little bit of time. Thanks for the tip!
go to a region, and double click it if you use the Loops interface, then you'll have to press the edit button on the bottom left. Then, click a loop, and press edit. Then, press edit again.
@@ZurgeOnVR you have to choose an instrument, and then in the top left of your screen there should be an option to return to the tracks. For the samples and loops, click the loop icon on the top right of your screen and you'll find thousands of free samples to use.
I agree, when I made this I thought that speeding it up without playing any noise would work but... I did make a 2nd version, you can look for that on my channel. in my opinion, it is way easier to follow than this
