Those are called tang pins, and they are one of the three methods to make the blade stay into place and keep the handles separated. However, it is possible to adjust the design to make what is called a pinsless balisong (the real name of the butterfly knife). There are actually quite a few production knifes with this system, such as the Nabalis Canyon, or even expensive ones like the JK designs Monarch.

Thats thick @Filxcle 😅😅 I suggest use screw with screwdriver, but make sure to do it slowly. or you can use nail, but make the tip of it not so sharp.

Sure thing @4msVedant 😊😊 I think your sticks are so dry thats why it breaks easily. Try spray some small water before drilling, it will help a little.

It’s just 2 😊😊 but I slightly sand the blade for it the become a little thinner compared to the middle part, to give some space when you flip it. Hope that make sense.

You need to cut the inside hole first before cutting the edges. While cutting the inside, do not remove the part that’s already been cut, so that it will be a support for the other side edges that will be remain to cut, for you to avoid breaking it. Don’t know if this make sense, but let me know if you didn’t get it 🤣🤣
