I have been making interactive slides on google classroom for a few months now and I've still learnt so many new things from this video. Your videos are amazing, not just for ideas for design but for learning too. Thanx so much.
WOW, this is amazing! I will be turning 62 and this school year will be my last after 40 years of teaching. I have created my first virtual classroom 2 days ago and I will definitely try what I have learned in this video. This is my Finale teaching project. Thank you!
Great video ,thanx . I have voice recorder as part of windows 10 menu, so i record voice messeges , rename them with slides numers, and then upload them on google drive, so I didn't try vocaroo yet.
What a great great PD!!! I would love to adopt the tips I know will work for me and share the lesson with you so you could give me your impression, but I know that might be a lot to ask. I appreciate so much the way you explain things. I don’t if it is because I am well versed in many of them, but I find myself learning so much. Gracias again 🤗🙏🏽
Virmared Santiago I’m so glad my videos are helpful! I’d be happy to help if I can. My email address is on the about tab on this page. Thanks for your support!
This was, by far, the BEST video on how to incorporate different learning activities in Google Slides. I really like the ideas you have and I definitely intend on using many of them during this pandemic school year! Thank you so much for your ideas and your clear set of explanations! :)
I enjoyed watching this video. It answered so many questions I had on incorporating Flipgrid, Jamboard and Quizzes. I also learned so many tips such as sharing options, deleting the words on Bitmojis and so much more. I would like to know if you have any videos on using Padlet. Thanks for your time and keep your videos coming. I am a loyal subscriber.
Is there a trigger feature in Google Slides? For example if I click on a shapes on slide 1 that hyperlink to another slide and I press the home button to get back to slide one, then the shape I clicked disappears so no one can click on it again. Am I making sense? Thanks again for another informative video. I keep learning new tips and tricks from you.
French with Madame G that would be a cool feature! Slides may have it but I don’t know of a way to do that. Sorry! And thanks so much for your continued support!
I just adapted and translated a hyperdoc lesson on poetry for my virtual sessions. I think it is amazing, but with all these fabulous tips it’s going to be even better. Wooohooooo 🥳🥳🥳🥳
asky314 thank you so much! I don’t use seesaw but here’s a tutorial from Tairia Denson about seesaw ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R1VCLr-0oS0.html
I was understanding it until the Engage section. Everything was lost around this point. It became a little too fast and unclear. However, you are good at this activity.
Thank for the feedback. I really appreciate that. I would recommend pausing when it starts to go too fast and rewatch until you get it. But I really do appreciate your feedback for future tutorials.
hello there!! love your tutorials... here's a question and you might have a tutorial on it, but can you assess me on how to have the kids open my slides on google classroom in present mode? Help!!!
Since the teacher can use the pen, can the student use a pen as well to engage? For example, if I want clarity if they understand a word and I asked if they could circle the word(s), are they able to do this within the current screen that they have without making any adjustments? Thank you so much for this information this was so helpful.
@@EZEdTech Well I'll be working within a zoom platform and I'm learning from you and others how to include Google slides. So, I am referring to what I can do within what you are explaining in your video; Google slides. Thank you for asking for clarity.
Thank you so much for sharing!! I had several "oooohhh moments", "that's what is for moments" and "A-HA moments" You kept it simple to navigate and easy on the eyes. I appreciate your time and knowledge on what we need for our lessons. Have a great day.
Randall Tanner yes you can just open where you pick the fonts in slides and select more fonts. The whole list of fonts is there. It’s the same fonts as extensis.
This was so informative and I learned so much!! Thank you so much for sharing such creative ways to make Google slides interactive. You have a new subscriber💕
One more question, I’m adding a video like you did into a monitor- but you said that we could control the length of the video ... I guess I need to see it again to do it myself, but if you can explain- would greatly appreciate it. It’s for a summer school lesson.
Nevermind, i found it! When I followed your instructions on how to add video the feature was on the right hand side of Start and End! Thank you! Again!!!
Terrific application of all things that can be done...but I'm sitting here thinking...this one lesson, which you had in mind already, took nearly an hour to create. If you have to do this for five classes per day, this can be overwhelming. Also, do you save each one in your drive and title them for the day it is used? How do you organize yours?
Hi, I used your terrific lesson on interactive slides to create an interactive strategy case for my college students. I have one problem...when the students use the link to the slides, the presentation speed is too fast. Is there a way I can change that? I tried adding in some transitions but it doesn't seem to have worked very well. Thank you!
if they don't press "play", it won't automatically advance. tell them to advance with the arrow keys or by clicking on the slides. You can change the time frame for auto advance. when you publish to web, you can select the time between auto advance.
This tutorial was SOOOOOOOOO Helpful!!!! I am so happy that I came across your videos. You explain and demonstrate the apps and formats extremely well. THANK YOU!!!
Jen, thanks so much for you videos. You have helped take my teaching to a new level. I really like the animated bitmoji and making it into a Google class banner. totally fun.thanks.
Maria Toft sorry! I thought I replied to your previous comment. Using them in the classroom isn’t commercial use as far as I know since we aren’t profiting off of them.
This was fantastic! Is there a way that I can convert what I have created to Microsoft Slides? If so, do all the links remain? I mean; I tried, and the only link that remains is my audio link. I simply coverted it to Microsoft Power Point. Do you have any tricks on that?
I'm not surprised if hyperlinks don't copy well in this situation. These presentation products are more complex than a text editor. If you have PowerPoint, start there. It will be cleaner. You can use Flipgrid in PowerPoint, for sure. Not sure of the others but PowerPoint has a lot of built in tools that do the same things. They also have a product called Sway that is more internet-based. To learn more about how to create presentations with PowerPoint, I recommend RU-vidrs Kevin Stratvert and Mr. Tompkins EdTech. There are tons of training videos on the Microsoft site--especially rich for schools that are part of their education program. Also, you can use these techniques in OneNote if you are using that. Interaction is key to successful online classes so this is good stuff. Kinesthetic motion (which can be as simple as picking up a mouse and clicking) creates a bit of a bookmark in the brain that makes retrieval easier. So when you make an important point that you want students to remember, use these techniques as reinforcement. Good luck!
I’m subscribing! Your channel is very informative and helpful to me. Thanks and keep uploading interesting vids like this! -I’m also a teacher from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Thank you so much for your detailed information! Our district uses Schoology, not Google Classroom. Do you, by chance, have a tutorial for using Google Slides in Schoology?
Your new subscriber here❤ Thank you so much for this very informative and encouraging video.😊 I think I can try mine much easier now 💖 Stay safe and God bless😇🙏
I really like the video it help clear up questions about incoorperate a variety of learning activities into google slides. I have a question though on google forms is there a way to set up the response spread sheet so a)which response came from which student b)change the formatting so responses are more legable (when I use google forms I can see all work together but the responses over flow into neighboring cells making it difficult to read) c) save the response spreadsheet so it is easily found (I make forms with resposne sheets but have a lot of difficulty finding the spreadsheet when I go to view it......)
Thanks so much! Here are my answers: a) they should already be set up like that or I'm not understanding your question. b) click on the blank square on the top left between A and 1 to highlight the whole sheet. then click on the format menu on the top and select text wrapping and click on wrap c) i usually find it by going back to the form but you can also go to sheets.google.com and it should be right there.
Actually, as I think about it...I suppose you could take the time to make something like what you just made, and then reuse particular slides as you need them ...no need to recreate, except to update links...correct?
Yvette Masullo yes exactly. And it took me that long to explain how to make it for someone who has never made one before. As you get more comfortable with the tools, it goes a lot quicker. As for organization, I have a folder for each school with sub folders for each class that I teach. Sub folders in each class for the units and then sub folders in the units for each day so I can refer back to them in the future.
I am sorry. I ask many questios. My bitmoji has always the same clothes. How do you do to have such variety. I just opened mine to make my banner with your tutorial. Hahaha. But I'm still pre historic
aAdriana Morales no problem! You have to change the bitmoji clothes on the app on your phone. Then the new clothes show up on the extension on your computer.
You are an awesome teacher!!! I learned so much from you in just a short amount of time. Can't wait to implement these interactive strategies into my lessons.
I learned so much and thank you for everything. I had no idea I could add such awesome emojis (BITMOJI is new to me!) into my slides and you shared this with such ease. I am 46 and alternatively certified after 14 years in finance and these past three years teaching have been great, but now this is going to make it FABULOUS! I actually used your videos for some practicum hours towards my Master's. All your help will be paid forward! Just like your bitmoji you rock!
Michelle Spiers that is so great to hear! I’m also alt certified so I know how tough (but awesome) the transition can be. I’m so glad to hear that my videos were helpful! ❤️
@@EZEdTech Hi! me again! 🤣 I played my own creation and found soooo many mistakes! The email link here is gin@ezed.tech so that was where I emailed my link to. Hope for a first try at this I wasn't too terrible LOL
Gin, I love your videos and way of explaining everything! Do you use Nearpod with Google slides and GClassroom? If yes, could you please make a video about Nearpod?
@@EZEdTech I have so many nearpod questions--mostly about inserting links to video and audio--I can't get the links to work when I move my slides to nearpod. I have watched other videos, but they don't seem to have the same features. My district has a premium subscription if that makes a difference!
lela5299 they have some slight differences. I like screencastify’s annotating tools for my lessons. I like Screencast-O-Matic’s blurring feature for my RU-vid videos. But basically they do the same thing.
In this one I show you how to add a google doc through google classroom so each student gets their own copy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DZu9YEFzj8s.html
@Arleen_Bishop, you must getvthe the BITMOJI app on your cellphone or via snapchat to begine using it. In the future, you will want to change avatar features and clothing which mustbe done on your phone. Then you want to get the BITMOJI extension for Chrome Browser to access your avatar on your laptop or Chromebook.
I have been telling the teachers in my school that you are my "Go To" source for technology and teaching. You do a fantastic job explaining through words and images.
