You can try Chinese tea. They are darker and richer in colour than most English teas. I’ve also used camomile tea to mimic white wine for a shoot.

I actually just had a talk about that topic today and I expected the spirit to have a slightly different texture, too. I suppose it might have bit of an impact on the texture of the cocktail you make, but then again this is something you will probably won't realise on a picture, but rather when tasting it (which you wouldn't when using a supstitute). One difference you might notice is that the substitute (probably) won't produce these streaks when it get's diluted by the ice, right? Anyway, great video!
