How to Make Fizzy Bath bombs Using Basic Recipe

We are now selling our Fizzy Bath Bombs on Amazon and just after 1 month, we have received good and nice reviews from our happy and contented costumers.
In this video I am going to share to you one of the recipes that I am using in making our Fizzy Bath Bombs. This is a basic and simple recipe to follow. I don’t use a lot of chemicals on our bath bombs.
The following are the ingredients and exact measurements for this Fizzy Bath Bomb.
4 cups baking soda
2 cups citric acid
½ cup cornstarch
½ cup Epsom salt
2 tablespoons almond oil
2 to 3 ml Essential/Fragrance oil ( it depends on how fragrant you want the bath bomb to be)
½ teaspoon coloring ( I use Lakes. It also depends on how bright the color you want your bath bomb to have)
15-20 sprays of water
Reminder: Adding water is the trickiest part. When it is humid I used 18-20 sprays but more than that would cause the bath bomb to crack as you dry them. The ideal temperature when I make bath bombs is 68-75 degrees Farenheight. We live in California and sometimes the temperature, especially in summer goes up to 113 degrees Farenheight. During those times, the mixture dries fast as you are molding the bath bombs so I add two to three sprays of water after finishing the half of the mixture while I am molding them. During winter, I just usually used 15 sprays. Be careful if you have to make bath bombs and it is raining. The cold temperature will cause the bath bomb to activate and have warts. Be sure to mix the ingredients well and the mixture is not to wet before molding them.
Procedure:
Mix the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom slat and cornstarch all together. Make sure there are no lumps. Then add the coloring. Mix again making sure to mix well the color with the other ingredients. Add the essential/fragrance oil and almond oil. Continue mixing them together until there are no lumps. Spray water while mixing the ingredients. Try molding the mixture using your hand and when the mixture don’t break apart, it is now ready to mold.

add poly 80 if using colorants so not to stain and helps push colors around the water surface and spread

Hello Miss Mary. I am using Lakes and the bath bombs don't stain. I think most bat bimb makers only use poly when they are using Mica.

Thanks for sharing this amazing video. I did with blue soap coloring but the salts of my bath bombs look white. How can i fix this issue?

When you use too much salt a and you are not able to sell the bath bombs or use the bath bombs in 3 months, that happens. Also make sure to mix all your ingredients well.

@@happypeanut4645 Thanks for answer and helping :) It is perfectly smooth when I do it for the first time, but when it starts to dry after 3 hours, it looks like salt. I think there maybe an issue with my drying method. How do you dry and keeping? where you drying bath bombs?

@@dilara9809 if you noticed on the video, I am putting the bath bombs on a box that I cut and put a foam that I collected from the packages that we received. I just lay the bat bombs there and cover with paper. Then I wrap them the next day.

If you follow my recipe. You just have to double the measurements but sometimes it might take a little bit of extra work. Like when every after molding 4 pcs, you might need to spray a little bit of water again and mixed before you continue molding.

If you mean the size of the bbs, just use the bigger size moulds.

Why not use alcohol instead water?

Hello Lorena. Some people use alcohol because they have difficulty making the bath bombs hard or the all the ingredients bind. For me it's just an additional expense. So I use water as a binder instead of alcohol.
