How to Make Fluffy LEMON CAKE | Homemade | Bake with Me

This lemon cake is so luscious and fluffy! It’s the perfect lemon cake full of zesty flavour which is not too sweet....
Ingredients:
2 Cups Flour, 272g
1 & 1/2 Tablespoon Baking Powder, 22g
240g Butter
1 & 1/3 Cup White Sugar, 181g
4 Large Eggs
1/2 Cup + 1 Tablespoon Milk, 140ml
Zest of 2 Lemons
Lemon Juice of 2 Lemons
Bake in preheated oven at 180° C for around 45 minutes. I used a 9 inch cake tin.

I tried this cake and it was one of the best cakes I've ever made... at first 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder sounded ridiculous, but I trusted the process and followed exactly what the receipe said and it came out greatttttttt. everyone loves this cake

Hi Neha, just want to say you brought me back to what a real sponge cake tastes like. I lost my touch in making cakes, cause for some reason my cakes were coming out dry, even though I've used that recepie since I was in high school. Hey Neha, thanks for sharing the recipe. I'm gonna try this out. Just a suggestion for the zest, use the other smallest grater side that you have and avoid any white part. Alternatively you can buy a zester. It's much easier with it.

Tried this today, made some minor deviations on the way but the rsult is fabbbbulous. Thank you for sharing this recipe! I grated the zest smaller as suggested below and 1 hour in the oven, but this could be due to the oven performance. All in all, fab results and a big thank you for this!!!

One should never crack eggs direct into the mixture cos sometimes the egg could be stale or rotten.. Rather crack them in a bowl one at a time and then add into your mixture... Just something I had learnt the hard way...
