I made this soap about a week ago. I had everything set up. Had just cut up the aloe then found out someone used my cucumber for a salad. I had to do some quick thinking. I found an avocado and scooped out the same amount as cucmber. Turned out to be one of the best bars of soap I ever made.
At first i was so scared to start my little smart business but looking at how you do it made me at easy to do so i like how you do it slowly and show and do all of the steps correctly and show and say what not to do and what to do most people do not do that i thank you i watch all of your videos and i reallt appreciated your organization with it thanks and god bless
Her Aloe Vera/Cucumber soap is so luxurious. The soap smells so beautiful and it lathers up and moisturizes my skin the best. Once you try it it will be your favorite.
Thank you a lot, am a stay at home wife and I want to start do my own stuffs and treat back my husband for his excellent job towards me and the children. Am going to do my own thing. Love this keep up the good work.💖♥️
Miguel McLeod farmers markets are a great places to sell natural stuff like this and from 3, 5 or 7 dollars a bar depending on how thick and the properties of it.
I try to understand what she doing teaching by putting something spoken by English so pity for me my English not good so I don’t understand what she puts the product name for making a soap 🧼
Hi 👋 i'm a soap making from London, always looking out for new recipes, Great soap thanks for your video plus recipe, i was thinking the same thing, that the soap was setting up to quickly, but it turned out perfect in the end, you never know how things might go in the soap world😊lovely shades of green, and white for contrast, i will definitely make this soap thank you
You did a superb job Darling! Im making some soap (bodywash) later today and infusing it with fresh aloe I harvest. I know your soap smells divine!!💗 with a great lather. I also wanted to add for some readers- the fresh properties of the leaf are way less harmful than any of that crap in the stores. I make all of my own aesthetics from scratch. I liked that you ground the leaf and gel. 😻 i do the same when making my aloe gel.
I didn’t think you could use the aloe skin. Just the gel. The substance between the gel and skin doesn’t cause any irritation? This soap looks amazing. Makes me want to make some! Thank you for sharing!
I love, love, love this soap. The colors and texture are right on. It's beautiful thank you for sharing. I am a newbie gathering information first. Wanted to do my own soap for so long. I believe it is time. ❤❤
I appreciate this recipe so much. In the Caribbean we grow the plant at home and just cut when needed to wash our face/hair and we ingest the gel for health benefits - just not to overdo it though.
@@mytravls Apparently, based on what a doctor told my grandmother, it removes good bacteria from your gut if used every day. My gran believed in a teaspoonful of aloe every day.
You can peel, puree and freeze. I have aloes growing like crazy in my home and this is how i preserve them once i cut a leaf. they are good for months and years
Hey everyone I’ve gotten a few comments regarding my comment about aloe being part of the cactus family. In fact it is part of the succulent family and is not a cactus 😆 sorry if I misinformed anyone.
I am confused by how you made the soap portion. I see the ingredient list below, but did you just mix the sodium hydroxide with the oils and water? Can you clarify more on that step? Also, is the titanium dioxide actually necessary?
This the best soap making video, I grew up breaking off aloe Vera my grandmothers garden and using it directly on my face, I wanted to make a detox soap incorporating the aloe Vera and this really helped 🥰 thanks a lot. Can you do a video using fresh ripped banana?
Might I suggest you make a Jewel weed soap? It would help people with any kind of itchy skin and is a natural remedy for poison ivy. You MUST use the orange flowered plant though, and don't over pick the patch because it reseeds itself and if you pick all the plants you won't have a patch next year.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany thanks. I looked at the video again and payed attention the second time to take notes and heard you mention it lol. Awesome tutorial. Thanks again. 😊
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany will you be willing to share the percentages used for the oils? I only have two pound molds. I'll have to run it through the soap calculator to get appropriate quantities for my smaller mold.
Wonderful to see the making of real, unprocessed products. I would totally buy that soap ) Have you ever tried making your own candle fragrance oils? I'm obsessed with this idea! So many candle FO just smell like chemicals to me.
Hello. I love your videos. I'm really learning so much from you. My question is do I have to worry about the soap going bad if I use fresh food like these? Probably a dumb question, but I really don't know.
Totally not a dumb question I haven’t started my business as of yet because I want to obtain as much research as possible but I’m going to take a wild guess and say she used preservatives
@@therealjmonae3421 according to what I have learned since 5 months ago the saponification process soap has to go through causes the soap to preserve itself. I could be wrong but that's what I gather, but now that you've said it I don't see how using a preservative in the soap could hurt. Also, I chose to go a different route than soap making but this is where I started.... being interested in soaps. It led me to formulating my own skin and hair care products soap sometimes included.
@@healthsaavy I'm wondering about this too, btw, what preservative can we use in soap? *zero knowledge in soap making so I really need help here. Thanks
I've been a soap maker for 7 years, and now do it for a living. Natural soap doe not spoil if it is well made. If fresh produce is added to it, it wont go bad as long as they are added in reasonable amounts. A good range is 2% to 5% of your oil weight.
Aloe Vera is also great for health growth. It works amazingly fast. Used it for my babies now they have full thick head of hair and grew faster than other babies
Hair growth rate is genetic. You can promote healthy hair growth through diet but unless you are putting stuff that burns and promotes blood rushing to your scalp(not good long-term), it's not actually speeding up hair growth.
hi i cant wait to make your soap. i was curious about the natural latex in the aloe. how do i get that out before making my soap as my husband is allergic to latex.
@Shannon Riddle I am allergic to latex as well. Just cut the skin off. Cut each side, then cut the top and scoop the gel with a spoon. I always rinse my aloe Vera after cutting it because the yellow liquid that comes from the plant is the latex. I haven’t had any reactions from Aloe Vera when I do this
Hi, you can try this. First cut the bottom about half and inch then place it in a clear glass upright with about 1 cup of water for an hour then repeat the process until is completely clear and no more latex is presented or to make sure overnight. When ready to use cut the tip of the Aleo Vera 2 -3 inches depending of the size of the leave besides there is really not much flesh there. The tip is also where there is more latex . Last remove the skin and only use the flesh. Hopefully this is helpful it has for me I know the process is time consuming but is well worth it. One last thing with the leftover flesh you can cut in cubes put it in a zip bag or container and freeze it for later use as desired. Is a very beneficial plant to consume.
Hi Cory, I want to make this soap, but a don't have the apricot kernel oil. Can I still make it without it, or can I use another oil. What do you suggest? Thank you
Great looking soap! And what a great combination: cucumber/aloe vera. I'm fairly new to soapmaking (10 months now), so I'm just curious: why did you spray the soap batter with alcohol?
What does it means by 11.3 oz of distilled water (this is at at 15% discount plus 4oz discount for the cucumber and aloe pureel So do I use 11.3 distilled water for lye, or 11.3-4=7.3?
Hi Can I add more cucumber and aloe to get greater essence of them while reducing water? Thanks for your reply. I didn't use color so I got one color bar which is what I expected. Thank you for sharing such a great video.
Hello, I have a question, when using fruits and vegetables like carrots in soaps and cream, don’t we have to worry about preservatives? I’m worried the fruits will rot? Does that make sense?
Absolutely beautiful! I will have to try this out. I already use aloe vera juice in place of water in all my soaps, but would love to use the gel in there as well occasionally.
