Exactly. I get making money on the leap part of it but once he started talking about selling I got really confused. I wish he could explain that alot better, maybe showing examples.
I tried selling calls on a leap option I have and it will not let me on Robinhood. I know at level 3 options I can buy a long and sell a short as long as I do it in one order but if I just bought a long option and a month later tried to sell a short 1 month call against it, it won’t let me. Can you tell me why?
Little bit confused and lost. Did you say to buy the stock first, assuming the fundamentals are in line. Then sell a covered call against it at 30-35 days expiration. Where and when does leap options come in to play.
The LEAPS option is instead of buying the shares outright. You can sell a call against it with a shorter duration (e.g. 30 days). Check PMCC on RU-vid to get the trading strategy.

Hey Matt. How do you sell calls on your own leaps? Trying to figure this out on robinhood and I can’t without owning the actual 100 shares of the stock.

Ive been messing with it for a while now and from what I can tell as long as you have a call on any stock it seems that it uses that contract automatically as collateral for the 100 shares. I thought I had to go on the actual call and sell from there but I guess you just sell fhe call as long as you have one purchased.
So let's say if you bought in at 50 RSI and a divergence occured back down to 30RSI. Would you trigger a sale or rather buy at a newer low and ride back up?
The rate cuts come AFTER the market declines or during , otherwise there’s no reason to cut rates. When did they cut to zero bound? When market were at the bottom so I’m going to wait in treasury bills.
I would normally agree with leaps but after the 2022 shenanigans a big market correction could just destroy someone you get a leap for January 2025 and sometime later this year Apple drops 20 percent and then you end up down on a leap.
Actually if you pay attention you'll learn something. I never heard anyone say if the vix is 10 the market would probably only sell off 10% and Actually that is pretty true.
I did a leap on apple when paper trading and then it split (lesson learned). I'm going to try this but in a small cash account I'm not sure they'll let me do it. (just no splits) LOL
