This is Micro Homestead Ecology. We have been growing our own food and building a more sustainable life, in the high desert on less than an acre of land, since 2012 here in zone 6b. I am excited to use this platform to share some of what we have learned over the years.
Today, we share how we have been managing our compost generation systems here for the past few years utilizing a simple pallet based system. We have been able to generate a bunch of compost over the years and have learned a few things through the process. Compost is an amazing resource, and as our system has matured, so has the quality of our compost. This is a great step towards living a more sustainable lifestyle, as we use our garden, and our animals, to feed our gardens year after year.
