My personal approach that helps with me creating melodies is establishing the harmony, and then humming out a melody with the chords. My general rule of thumb when composing the melody is to keep the notes of the melody closely connected so it would flow with what you’re trying to make.
I need an explanation because to my understanding a harmony is when multiple sounds are playing the same notes at the same time. What is there to harmonize with if you haven’t created a melody yet?
4th tip: you can also use Dominant or Augmented 7th chords which sound pretty cool. Using 4 notes make it sound fuller . You can also play derranged 11th and 3rd 1/2 notes with a lifted sharp to the 5th note. This makes it sound so like i dont have a clue. Just made that last part up lol
Hey what’s up ima signed artist and producer, I’m 17 lol and I’ve been using fl studio since I was 3 I have live streams of me making beats you can check them out if you want maybe they can help you!
Also, you could play random notes and just have 1/4 beat on. Then record your beats or notes you figured out, it organizes the bad notes you might play.
Paid plug ins or cracked plug ins simple as that really bro 💯 xpand 2 is really good for the money it’s like £10 and probably better than most of FL presets for trap etc or you could pay for arcade/splice
