Try to have a habit of exfoliating your lips, and making sure your lips are protected with Vaseline or lipbalm at all times. It really helps to make your lips look amazing. You can just swipe on a really thick layer of Vaseline on your lips and go to sleep, removing the dead skin when you wake up. After your skincare (or before. Which ever you prefer. I ain't judging), make sure your lips are protected with that layer of lip balm/Vaseline and reapply whenever needed. Oh and it really helps your lips if you drink plenty of water

I wish I had this tutorial 10 years ago. I avoided lipstick all this time until I saw a very quick but bad tutorial elsewhere for gradient lips. I tried it looked better but still not great, tried your technique and for the first time I think I look great with lipstick.
