How to make Hair serum with Butterfly pea flower extract
This video will show you how to make hair serum with butterfly pea flowers. I extract " Anthocyanin ( blue colour ) " by using glycerine. Anthocyanin is a substance in the group of flavonoids that give blue, red and purple colours to flowers, vegetables and fruits. Anthocyanin give benefits to hair by helping stimulate hair roots to promote hair growth and prevent gray hair. This serum requires only 3 ingredients, coconut oil, butterfly pea flower extract and polysorbate 80 ( tween 80 ).
Coconut oil contains vitamins and essential fatty acids that nourish scalp making hair growth and healthier. Coconut oil also has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that are benefits to hair and skin. There are many grades of coconut oil in the market. You just find the information and trust yourself for choosing it. For me, I use pure coconut oil for this hair serum. It's quite thick and has aromatic coconut smell.
I use polysorbate 80 as emulsifier to make coconut oil and butterfly pea flower extract blend together. I add polysorbate 80 just let two ingredients blend together only. So it will have a little bit of extract part on the bottom of the container. But don't worry, the oil and extract are still blend together ( not separate like 2 parts ). It just needs to shake the container before using.
This hair serum is pre-shampoo treatment. You just massage your hair from root to tip and let it at least 1 hour or overnight, then clean hair by shampoo as usual and say hello to soft hair. But it takes some times for the preventing of gray hair and promoting hair loss benefits, so just happy to use it and slowly see the result.
