These turned out so well! The right colours and techniques in painting is what will make or break this project. Going to have a go at helping my kids make these.

I'd say it's actually easy just to get some pound shop wood carving set and a piece of dowel from B&Q then carve them. You'll end up with a better result and a stronger wand.

I am thinking of trying these so can u pls tell what is primer , the spray thing u put before painting the wands? Is it necessary or can we make these wands without them too? Kindly reply

Hey, no by all means you can make these wands without primer. It just gives the paint a good base to go on to, but you can get the same results without for sure! Hope this helps, have fun making your wands :)

Can I keep it to dry for an hour? Bcoz I need it ready early It is a gift for my brother

You could try using a hair dryer to speed up the process, also wipe off as much glue as possible to stop it getting too wet. But i'm not sure you would be able to get it 100% dry in 1 hour, sorry! Maybe worth a try? I hope it all works out for your brothers birthday, best of luck :)

Hi thank you so much!! Don't worry if you don't have primer you can still make these wands no problem, it may just take one or two more coats of paint to get good coverage, hope it goes well :)

I made a wand exactly like this and it worked out pretty good but it fell off the table once and was permanently bended :( Now I am going to try to make it again so can you give me some tips to make it very hard and stable 😢 great video anyways it really helped me :D

You could try wrapping the paper around a pencil or something similarly sized to add a little weight? Hope this helps :)

@@mustardmakes4041 yes this will also keep the structure of the wand a bit more stable. The wand will otherwise be a bit flexible and may snap

No it's not entirely necessary it just help the paint stick to the wand more easily, but two layers of paint will do the same job :) Thank you!!

Technically I ‘s not Dumbledore’s wand. As In the seventh book it says it’s harry’s and he uses it to repair his old wand.

I guess you could call it the elder wand because so many other people had it like Grindelwald, Voldemort and Dumbledore. I guess you could say it was Harry’s but it was never his in his heart plus he only used the elder wand for one spell and then threw it away. I don’t think this wand ever had a proper owner so you could call it by it’s other many names. The Deathstick, the Elder Wand etc.
