In this video I show you how to make homemade Buck Jam. All of the ingredients as well as the process. The Buck Jam comes out very runny, I was expecting it to be more of a syrup but it is pure liquid. The stuff you buy in the store is actually liquid as well so maybe we did ok!

Recipe:
2 liters of hot water
Half bag of confectioners sugar
1 lb. of table salt
1 box cherry jello
2 liters of apple juice
1 package of liquid Certo
Start by putting 2 liters of hot water in a large pot or bucket, next add the confectioners sugar and mix until dissolved in the water. Next mix in the salt until it is dissolved. The mixture should be getting thicker (slightly) at this point.
Next add the Cherry Jello and thoroughly mix. Next add in the apple juice and stir everything until it is well mixed and everything is dissolved. Finally add in the package of Liquid Certo. Certo is usually used for canning as a thickening agent for jams and syrups.
After stirring the ingredients put a lid on the container and leave overnight to thicken. (It will still be plenty thin enough to pour!) The next day after the mixture has cooled pour into containers. The mixture will still be very thin and runny but all of the ingredients will be dissolved and should not have settled out!
