Put sand in a frying pan, then use a funnel to put the hot sand into the PVC and you won't get kinks in your PVC pipe. When I make these or Buff Blocks I like to fill My PVC with Concrete as well. Makes them heavier and more durable hand grips.
Using crushed dense storage heater bricks in concrete mix , I got a full size basketball to just over 20kg , the base was squashed a bit. A smaller ball weighed nearly 16kg. Next time I will sit the ball in a bowl when filling with concrete mix and may get 1-2 extra kg in.
I've just crushed up some old storage heater bricks - density 8 vs concrete density 2.4. Steel density is 8 I hope concrete made with the dense grit will be 3X heavier 8" ball volume 4.2 litre = 10kg, concrete but maybe 3x with dense mix 8 1/2" ball vol = 5.9l nearly 1 1/2 x 8" 9" ball volume 8.2litres ,nearly 20kg concrete but maybe upto 60kg with dense mix ??
what is the name of the pipe that you used to make the pvc plumbing pipe bend after its heated. i've watched a lot of diy videos and none have this tool in it to make the kettle bell handle bend like that? great idea and i love all your video's... been watching your for some years now.

vich u maybe a 5 gallon bucket would be more your level? I think Arnold did that since he didn’t have money for larger weights in his early years. Please post a video if you do. That would be sick to see!
Its easier if you use the ready-mix type which already comes mixed with the sand. There is a brand called Quikrete that comes in many different formulas, if you can find that where you live try to get the one that comes in a green bag, that has fiber on it to prevent cracks and resist impacts.

Just use a weight scale when adding the concrete or whatever you use to the ball. Keep in mind that when concrete is wet it weights more. The weight will drop 1-2 lbs when it dries.
