Very nice project. However I'm having problem. I'm using SG90 Servo and it doesn't move. Does it matter if I use SG90 or MG90S? I tried using MG955 but servo doesn't work too. Also, is it normal for the DVD motor to get hot? I'm using 5 Volts and 600mA adaptor. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Excuse me, I did everything right by training, I tested the motors and installed it on the board. The sero-motor is healthy But the one who wants to do it does not move left and right. The seromuter does not move. The problem is where I tested the 12 volt adapter 1 amps and 5 volts of 2 amps. Both of these would result.

hey sai. good u ve built it, okay, what power supp r u using ? use only 5v dc to power up the shield and it works fine, and if stll ur motors getting hot just trim the pots on driver,pot is a silver tiny part with +mark for screwdriver in the center and round shaped,hardly 5mm in dia. if u reduce the current motors wont get hot.

Yash sharma have u built it as per desc in vdo ? Also connected it to shield n arduino as per inst ? If yes then open arduino ide. Upload servo sweep sketch. Close it then open benbox.. chk for the port..then run the laser hex .. chnge the parameters servo up down etc as per ins..and then open Aa on left n type ur name. Set it to font size 3 and click on green play button on top it shud work

I teared down many dvd writers but only one of them had this stepping motor inside, the oter have common non stepping motors with two cables, is there a way to use them with the cnc shield?
