I notice the MSTS horns don’t make great horns for looping because of how the horn starts slower where it would loop when doing short blasts where it sounds not so smooth. I use your horn files from the site you made from Discord. I love how they sound too. MSTS had the horns play delayed like when the button is pressed you heard it a second or so later and couldn’t do quick blasts well they were slow to play the horn sound was pressed by the button.
Hell again (Chris?)--Could you possibly add a Holden M3H to your horn files? Canadian Pacific used them on their FP9A units. They may seem dated; but they're a powerful; great sounding horn. If you can....Thanks.
Possible silly question: If I've done things correctly; how should the end of a three second R-8/V3 blast sound? (I've got a continuous loop.) Mine sounds good; but I'm not sure if it's as it should be. It just seems to be ever so slightly "off" compared to the real world. Reason:(?) A couple of my steps were a bit different than yours. When I dragged the horn file into Audacity--(1) Two identical; complete wave files appeared; one above the other. Both have the fade at the tail. (2) After "selecting"--I exported the ".wav" file right into my Run8 horn menu. Backing up one step: After creating a new folder in my C-drive file section; I had a "cannot change file" message I could not get around. That's when I decided to try going directly into the horn menu. It worked.
The horn files are supposed to be a certain bit rate and are supposed to be mono, not stereo. The horn creation PDF in the user guide folder explains this. That might be why you had an issue
