I noticed some bees around your solar fountain. They need water too, during the Summer, and often drown in large containers of water. To take care of both the birds and the bees, cut a wine cork in half, lengthwise, and float in the water bowl. This allows a bee that falls into the water, to dry off and fly away. My beekeeper friend gave me this tip.

I think she pays the hummingbirds…our hummingbirds are very territorial and they don’t allow more than one to feed at the time even though we have at least 6 feeders…and we live in SoCal just like she does…

Please can you tell me to f I can adjust this??? I cover a bit of the solar panel to slower the flow but it just stops or lightly pulses. I appreciate you!!!!

This could be used for cats. They don't like still water, so this is a great, cheap way for your cat to drink from. The units that are made specifically for cats are really expensive. I will definitely be making a few of these for the garden and one for the cat.🙂💖

Robbie, if you want to paint these to look like stone and have nubblies for their feets to grab onto....just mix baking soda and sand with any paint, paint it and it will look like a stone birdbath!

The pink color and flowers on the cup draw the humming birds. They LOVE that color. I think the base would be pretty like that but the color is helping bring the birds.

I have been trying to get the hummingbirds in my yard this is the 4th summer I’ve asked you so many questions and with all your advice I finally have hummingbirds yay I don’t have as many as you do but I finally have them coming thank you so much for all your advice and anyone else out there it takes time and you have to stay on top of it constantly refreshing their juice and put as many feeders as you can for your area and they will come Thank you so much!! Robbie!! I hope you see this message! And if not I hope it helps to encourage others! I used to have just a few buckets on my deck and I would grow some tomatoes nothing crazy (that was until last year) Ok let's start at the beginning.... 3 years ago my daughter became guardian to 2 bunnies Star and Jupiter. Well every week she had to clean the cages they sleep and eat in out (and it filled up the trash bags fairly quickly) So after realizing it was a lot to send to the dump I made a area for her to dump it in the yard. Then I added in kitchen scraps /waste . Then my husband was going to clean up the yard and It honestly hadn't hit me how fast it would break down in Georgia! 3 years later my compost is honestly the best thing Ive grown in!! When I found Robbie and Gary and I saw how she filled her totes I tried it! Its works really good!! So if you're thinking of trying it Please do! Its saved me so much money!!

Just lots of fun thinking up stuff, and being creative. Love that kind of thing too. We’ve been eating lots from the garden and I planted Roma II bush green beans in a large tote and had some wonderful beans. I’ve got zucchini and honey nut butter nut in a couple other smaller ones. Not sure what size exactly, but we’ve been getting some. Funny, same seed packet one green and one stripped zuccini, plus we have yellow crook neck in the garden and it’s doing better then ever! Corn coming soon, and we’ve been eating lots of tomatoes and cucumbers as well. Lots of peppers, but none quite ready there! Harvested our candy onions from Andrews seeds and replanted our walking onions too. Using the bottoms tonight in a sloppy joe sauce with one of our tomatoes chopped up. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HAVING a garden and all the fresh veggies! Been going on 32 plus years with a garden.

Absolutely amazing. I've been trying to figure out how I can have a fountain with a larger water well in my backyard that doesn't need an electrical outlet. I've tried the solar fountains like you use in my bird baths but the birds splash all the water out during the day. I just got tired of filling them up multiple times. I love your joyous channel! You inspired me. I made a beautiful little birdbath with an ornamental broad shallow glass dish that looks like a leaf and filled half of it with river rocks that birds can hop on and i used the rocks to corral a floating solar fountain in the middle. It's beautiful and the birds and squirrels love it!

Thanks for the great easy instructions …just wanted to add I took the rubber gasket out of the lid of the drinking cup -cut it down and glued it to the base and it made it easy for the birds to stand on in the water…! Great ideas thank you!

The fed wildlife agency (forgot the name) just put out an announcement to make sure these baths and feeders be cleaned with a 10% bleach solution weekly. There is some infection in the small bird communities that is affecting them in very large numbers. The agency actually is asking for these feeders and baths be pit away until the infection spread slows. Keep the birds safe!

It deals with SONGBIRDS!! Here is a quote: It has been seen in a wide array of birds, including Northern cardinals, Eastern bluebirds, Carolina wrens and chickadees, house finches and sparrows, and red-bellied woodpeckers, but the Pennsylvania Game Commission said the malady appears to be targeting fledgling blue jays, common grackles, European starlings and American robins.

Great project!! Im in the Philippines and need to order the solar pump online. Because I have a big walk in aviary I need the longest cord to Solar panel possible. Could you please post the exact make and model you used please?! Also if anyone knows of a longer cord (or whether the existing can be spliced into and extended I thank you in advance)

I was adjusting low-pressure on my hose nozzle and a Hummer flew up and took a bath while rolling on the back of my hand. I didn't dare move and was completely astonished this happened.

They’re cheaper on Amazon, or at least they WERE. But they could be higher by the time you go on it, so I don’t guarantee, but at least check before purchasing. 😋 I LOVE this idea & thank you soooo much! I’m going to try it!
