Using a tall measuring beaker works best for adding oil to your incense. Add sticks, add scent oil to the top of the sticks. Then take out, let sticks dry for 24 hrs on drying rack. THEN ADD DPG by dipping each stick into the DPG in a measuring beaker and it dries fast as you let them dry on a drying rack . DPG should be added LAST to SEAL the scent oil and that process keeps it from smoking.
This method sounds interesting. Really there is dpg already in the fragrance oil just a certain amount. If you have a potent oil where you can cut it an it's still strong you would add the dpg to make more oil so you can make more inscense . If you mix the dpg and fragrance oil together in beginning it still wont have black smoke
Hello! I loved how simple you make this! I do have a question. I tried your method and when I'm burning them I smell more of smoke. I also tried dipping the sticks into the essential oil and leaving them there for at least two days but I would have the same result. I also did dip them into the dpg liquid. Any recommendations? Thank you!
These are pre made sticks now, wonders what oils are being used here, natural oils, or synthetic oils. To me, they look cheap oils and synthetic something i dont want inhale in the house.
Have you make your own oil essences? If so, would you share the recipe?. I' m looking for a good one. And I wonder if is it needed always an oil essence or if it could be an alcohol fragance instead. Please feel free to correct my english.😊
