@@hr4f774 I actually wasn’t bad, I guess. I had a boxing background and was good enough but not good enough to do anything with it. I go to a MMA gym with a friend to workout, and the coaches were like woe, yeah we’re going to get you in here to fight. I lit some of his dudes up big time, just starched them but I couldn’t fight for shit outside of striking. Fast forward six months and I’m walking through every 12-14 year old in BJJ and those bastards said I was ready and got me a fight with a guy who was 1-1. He was a former high school wrestler and football player and Army national guard. Basically, he trained non stop for almost two years. In any case, we fight and I light his ass up. I mean I was snapping his head and he had this pitiful look in his eyes I remember and then he shoots and I go against the fence with him in my rib cage. He leaned on me, kneed me, punched me, but mostly leaned on me and I couldn’t get a full breath it seemed. Anyway, I roll out back to the center and hoped to catch him again like I did during the first 45 seconds. He wanted nothing to do with that. He shot again, picked me up and dumped me. We wrestled for about 5 seconds and before I knew it he was on my back and nearly tore my damn head off. He choked the shit out of me. My throat and neck was so damn sore I couldn’t eat cereal the next morning. He told me after the fight to work on my ground game and that I panicked and made a bad mistake. I told him, “fuck you. You work on your ground game. I’m done with this shit.” Good guy. Still Facebook friends. He quit fighting a few years later.
My muy thai /kickboxing trainer would always tell me to train like you got a fight coming up . You never know when your Opportunity might come your way
My answer for “how to join UFC”: #1 Win fights, u must be pro enough to join UFC. #2 have many social media, share your victories, hashtag others, let the world see and know u are PRO. 3# be unique, have you own style, don’t copy others techniques #4 have an image or something no one have, like your body style or or have something that only u have it, for example, your fighting style, or “new martial art”. #5 talk for talk, yes talk to some successful people like McGregor or Anderson Silva and many more, even in Twitter, or face to face. HOPE U HAVING A GOOD DAY ❤️😉
Be a european who's 15-0 And has +40of kickboxing matches and you might get a call. Or be an american guy at 3-1 who knew a guy that wrestled in school.
Who are you referring to? And the UFC is more popular in the USA than Europe. If you live in Europe, there is a higher chance you might get signed with a different organization.
Apparently, all you need to do is become a big star in the WWE. Then you can get a UFC contract without even having a single fight in any other smaller promotion.
@@user-bc4fi4xd3t didn't Brock get 1 million for ufc 100 lol smh. Even cormier said he had a hard time getting what he asked fpr, but then got offered 80 and 80.
You can draw a lot of comparisons from joining the UFC to getting a software job at Google, or analyst job at Goldman Sachs, or sports management with the Yankees, etc
@@g33335LOL come fight me tell me you don’t need to be educated on grappling to fight me! I’ll have you sleep and broken in less then 2 mins. LOL weekend mma fans
I'm quite literally just getting off my butt and getting into training.. The birth of my son changed my life dramatically , and I've made major changes in just the past 1-2 years. I am fortunate you released this video, cause I know I'm out of shape but I am giving EVERYTHING I got to this sport at this time. I don't want ten years to pass and looking at the screen going "Maaan, that couldda been me.."
Idk who tf I’m gonna fight in the ufc in like 5-6 years when i Make it but im gonna be ready at all times no matter what it takes, straight discipline, i got the drive to make it in this sport and I will. Thanks Chael
@@BigTiddyGothGrappler k man like first of all idk who tf you are but if your gonna judge someone for a profile picture (which by the way is 5 years old) then your just weird dude. Be fucking fr
My 1 minute rest between rounds I punch wet carpet on concrete and pushups. I hold 2 kg bells for 5 mins rounds then 1 kg for the next round and then no weight the 3rd round and I repeat this sometimes for a few hours. In other words I can fight efficiently at high pace for hours with weights on my hands where my knuckles are starting to destroy concrete . I need grapple and bjj now
Justin Jaynes just took a fight on 24hr notice on the last card and he's been trying to get into the UFC for the last 15yrs and he never gave up hope and finally got his shot and won 45sec in the first
I mean, I got lucky few months ago, slept with 2 beautiful women at the same time.... I didnt prepare at all and it wasnt an opportunity it was a moment... so I dont think luck is preparation meets opportunity.... luck would be getting the odds, preparation gives opportunity
We have been saying this on our podcast show, in fact, we put out a video a couple weeks ago specifically talking about Austin Springer. If you want to find out more about Austin Springer, check out our video!
Hey Chael, professional fighter ready for the UFC here. Fight ready at all times at 155 lbs, 170 lbs if needed. I tend to agree with you, but I need a favor. I have no manager advocating for me, and I live in the often overlooked midwest, so I need Sean Shelby's number. Staying prepared served us well on the regional circuit, but without direct contacts, how will they know I'm ready? Thanks in advance. Sincerely-Sean Connor Fallon
@@thetylerconrad3289 nah fam, Chael didn't hook it up haha. Also, choked in my last fight losing a split decision against the #1 ranked lightweight in Canada. Before that I was on a good streak winning 10 out of 11 in a row and avenging that single decision loss during that time pretty handedly for a regional title. Still on the grind. Skill level is there to compete, just need a shot in the most stacked division in combat sports...
@@eataknee this may sound weird but u have any social media or something i kinda wanna know how its going…its always been my dream to fight in the octagon, but physically and mentally im not prepared! im here with u brotha keep grinding
@@Bizzone_ yessir. @seanconnorfallon for Instagram and Sean Connor Fallon on Facebook. Thanks brotha, will do. Working on a rematch with the Canadian to unify our titles as the promotions we both are champions in were bought out. Best of luck to you!
Question: If Stipe loses and Cormier wins then retires vacating the belt...is Stipe considered the 1 contender for the belt against Francis or will it go to someone else. It seems like win win for Stipe if that’s the case.
Silly question. Have elite skills, have the charisma (it factor), love the grind and be ready to live on air for a period of time. Otherwise, just be a weekend warrior and work a full time job.
there is no local mma gym where i live i will do anything to fight im very capable i just cant seem to get a break how can i become a ufc fighter if there is no mma gym
The UFC needs to split up matchmaking by divisions, or numbers, so that each matchmaking team is only responsible for 100-150 fighters, or 2 division weight classes each. They need more people handling that job task. It's absolutely ridiculous for the UFC to lose out on potentially great young talents, simply because the matchmaker is constantly overwhelmed trying to match up 750 fights per year. Hire more people to be UFc's matchmakers for God's sake. BTW, who the hell is Stipe Miocic's manager? Unless Stipe is requesting that he doesn't fight, his manager needs to be publicly flogged. Stipe haad, and maintains, the longest reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion of all time. And, he defeated legends and fresh young killers, alike. Not to mention, he is 1 & 1 against Francis Ngannou, and he didn't even get a rubber match/rematch. Stipe hadn't fought since he lost to Ngannou back in 03/2021. Francis only fought once since then, and it wasn't even Stipe, it was newbie Ciryl Gane. Ngannou's been holding up the belt. And now, even though Gane unfairly passed him up and got the shot for the belt against Ngannou... AND he LOST. Gane passes up Stipe AGAIN, somehow and gets another shot for the belt, instead of Stipe!! Makes zero f'ing sense. Stipe's manager must be publicly flogged. Then, Jon Jones, as gnarly as he is, also passes up Stipe (the longest reigning HW of all time), for the belt, as well. Even though Stipe lost once again the guy who he also beat the first time they fought. Stipe is getting so screwed. But, Stipe has to make the best of it & he absolutely should still be fighting to stay relevant and active. He's getting old n has to put his foot hard on the pedal and go hard at this last run. Stipe's manager isn't even getting this right. Stipe should be fighting top guys in the meanwhile. He should be doing commercials, putting out videos of him training, etc, etc. UFC is not a sport, it's a BUSINESS. That means you as a UFC fighter need to be a great fighter, AND you need to market yourself. It's a 50/50 platform. ½ Fighting & ½ Marketing. And, a fighters manager need to be getting that through to them, no matter how private they are. As a UFC fighter, you are, first and foremost, an ENTERTAINER.. not an athlete.
I'm A Warr;or Hes just the hardest hitting ufc fighter on record. Dont be delusional. Of course hes just a man and he can be beaten, but *you* definitely cant beat him.
Its very hard to get in the UFC, This one guy thst was brother of my freind, Started early at 11 in martial arts, For years he was winning all the regional shows, finally got a fight at Bellator, Actually won the fight in a decision but his fight never ended up being broadcasted, Now he retired and is a Assistant Coach in Wrestling in a small town highschool.
@@JG-ys6bq Never got another fight in a major... Spent most of his days in regionals got that fight and nothing materialized then he got oldrr n faded out
