I made this today and it turned out excellent - very moist. I used an extra cup of milk, 1 less cup of water and 1/2 cup less sugar. Your recipe was easy to follow. Thank you for sharing.

The flavour is amazing!I miss that smell and taste!! I will not be going outside in the snow to do it though lol so I'll use my oven since that works for me
Yummy. I agree we can not always stick to tradition, a little change is good. In Jamaica for those of your viewers who are unaware, we called this dessert "Hell a bottom, Hell a top, Hallelujah in the middle" because we bake this on the Charcoal in a coal stove then the container with the pudding mixture which is covered with a sheet of zinc (clean) in the middle and charcoal on top of the zinc. This method is for those who isn't using the oven. I tried this method out of not having a working oven. I partially started on the stove for cooking the bottom of the pudding and have a little charcoal to cover the top of the pudding. I love my wet top pudding. That is the gravy of the pudding 😀😀 Continue to share your creativity and your skills.
Hands down your the BEST! I use to make puddings with my grandma every weekend when I lived in Ja.....I've been in the US for the past 12 years and could never get my puddings like my grandma's UNTIL today!! Thank you sooo much! This recipe was easy to follow (as all your others) and taste good too!
Yum yum I know it’s good. I like the wet top my mom makes it that way I can bake it but I was yet to do the wet top correctly so I’m here . She died before I got that part locked .
You are a good teacher and I like the twist you put to it because this way you know that you will have a moist pudding because the first one I tried was so hard, that if a piece of it dropped on your toe it would sure break it,😅😅😅. Thank you because I have watched a few other videos ,but I like this one the most.
Thank you SO much for sharing this recipe! My husband is from Jamaica and this is his absolute favorite. I used another recipe on my first attempt at making cornmeal pudding and it was a no go! Your recipe is the second one I tried and it was 100000% approved by him (and me 😜)! Super easy recipe and video to follow too! Thank you again!
Hi dear new subscriber here,I love your channel your voice is so soothing and your background music is nice, this is how I do my cornmeal pudding I made it sometime last week for the first time in my life and it was great but I did not add any soft top
I just came across your channel and I am enjoying so far. I watched a few of your videos and had to subscribe. You have a very soothing voice. Love to make cornmeal pudding this way. Thanks for sharing.
It is not as hard as the crust on the pudding that is baked without the stovetop step or the pudding that is baked on coal stove. Also if the wet top runs down over the edges it will make the bottom of the pudding not as hard.
@@JerenesEats the crust and edges are the parts I love the most but cornmeal has a way of settling causing the bottom of the pudding to be hard and dry.
I love a wet top pudding 😅. Never done the Stove Top method. Am I two years late in watching this. Always preferred Sweet Potato Pudding but decided to try making a Cornmeal Pudding. Never done it before. Peace Jerene. Shalom ♥️
