How to make JDM turn signals

UPDATE: I recommend using a UV resistant clear coat and/or ceramic coating after the paint has cured.
*Also, it’s come to my attention that this particular spray tint has become hard to find. My method in the video should work with any type of orange spray tint.
*CHECK YOUR LOCAL LAWS BEFORE ATTEMPTING

Sorry for out of focus and uncentered video clips, as well as jumpy editing.
Steps:
-Remove turn signal
-Sand turn signal with 600 grit sandpaper
-Clean turn signal
-Tape off turn signal
-Apply a light coat of the tint. Wait about 2 minutes. Repeat until desired look is achieved.
-Apply 2 coats of clear coat with 2 minutes between each coat.
-Install once fully dry
I don't recommend tinting the inside of the light. It can result in a poor looking finish.

This video is a proof that people want what they dont have. Every car/motorcycle person I know changes amber turn signals to clear to for better looks. Meanwhile people across the ocean do the opposite

Funny, seeing the thumbnail I thought he changed it from amber to clear.. the sad part is, if I want to turn my amber turn signal into clear ones, I have to cast a clear one myself..

More or less but it’s because we find other people’s culture fascinating and cool so we try to copy it. You can only want what you don’t have otherwise you never want anything.

Lmao, so many people wishing they had the other way around spending around $50-80 for clear of smoked sidemarkers ! I personally kept my JDM orange and red but used light tint of VHT nightshade it looks dope

I got mine at Michael’s crafts. I’m sure most craft stores have similar options.

I tried looking and I can’t seem to find it either. I don’t know if it has been discontinued or maybe it is hard to get because of COVID. Sorry about that. I do see that Krylon makes a version called “Stained Glass Tangerine Orange.” I haven’t used it before, but that is what I would try.

Look up krylon stained glass spray paint or testors or tamiya brand! The latter 2 are meant for painting RC cars but have every color of transparent or translucent spray paint. Just don't go as heavy as this guy those paints are a little thicker. Def do a coat of clear or two ! If you mess up use a little paint thinner then rinse it with water immediately followed by a wet sand and you'll be fine. Ya don't spray the inside either ! Good luck
