Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs of bitter melon (Karela/Margoes)
1 1/2 tablespoons of salt
6 tablespoons of Sunflower oil or any Cooking oil
1 onions finely sliced
Few green chilies
Preparation
Cut the bitter melon into 1/2 centimeter thick, remove all the seeds, add salt mix well and let sit for 1hour. Wash the bitter melon really well under cold running water. Heat oil in a pan add your bitter melon, onions and green chilies mix well. Let cook for 15 -20 minutes stirring time to time when the bitter melon catch a brownish color remove from heat and serve.

I cut kerala the same way as u. I use to add a tomato when its frying.

I also love to have it with bread or sometimes only the margoze but I don t use salt to remove the bitterness as i like it yesterday i cook bouillon fish with margoze and coconut chutney by the way i really like your chanel from which region are you from mauritius

Wouldn't it be easier if you open the karela all the way with a knife and remove the seeds than cut it ?

cutting the bitter melon and removing the seeds one slice by one slice????? Are you insane? How much time is wasted. Why not cut it in half then scoop out the seed, its 10 times easier and faster.
