@@tnkyyyfor real, it’s great music. Seriously though, great tutorials. So many people on RU-vid upload 50 minute videos of them yapping and yapping away with very little substance. Yours are quick and straight to the point, with pure substance. I wish everyone made videos like this

Wow!! Amazing tutorial and walk-through of an incredible track! I'm saving this video in my favorites for future reference! What an awesome song! I especially like those shimmery atmosphere FX you used, so beautiful! I will definitely check out Valhalla Shimmer reverb for that purpose. You may also like a new free shimmer reverb plugin called Solaris on KVR Audio, it sounds incredible! It can make your instruments sound like they're being played in outer space lol! Do check it out. @@Mihara01 hey!! thank you for ur kind words!! for me a lot of my progress came when I listened to songs I enjoy and took what I liked from them whilst creating my own songs, copying their chord progressions, structure etc.. references overall are super helpful. in reality the truth is as long as you're doing anything music related whilst either stepping out of your comfort zone with new sounds or genres, or just practicing how to make a drop/buildup/intro/beat, it genuinely does make a difference. is there anything in particular you wish you could get better at? (as for me my creative output is so patchy that I'm rlly slow putting out stuff)

The thing I really like about Planes is that we learn that WWII happened in the Cars universe. Which means there was a Cars Hitler, a Cars holocaust, a Cars Pacific War, a Cars D-Day, a Cars nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a Cars Rape of Nanking, a Cars Battle of Iwo Jima... This leads to so many important questions, like: were the Cars Little Boy and Fat Man nukes sentient? Was it a suicide mission? Are ALL Cars nuclear weapons sentient? Did Tsar Bomba have a personality? What kind of car was Car Hitler? A VW? A forklift? Was there a Cars 9/11? Were the planes hijacked, or were the planes themselves radicalized? I could go on

I listen to these songs all the time when playing osu!mania, and really wanted to make something similar...your video is great, and the song is a banger man, really inspired me, so I'll definitely try to make something like this :)

hi!! I'm glad the video inspired you :) for me, almost always when I start a song I was inspired by another track.. copying the songs' chord progressions, drum beat, structure etc. is often really helpful. if you download the song and drag it into your DAW to keep referring to it that can help you get closer to the sound you want. one thing to keep in mind is that you shouldn't expect to make songs as good as your favorite artists as a beginner; progress comes naturally with time so keep at it! with sound selection, as a beginner it's really helpful to find sample packs to do with the genre/artist you're looking at. I know that synthion has a 10k sample pack but a few others I recommend for drums and fx are Mameyudoufu atmos. Samples (free) KSHMR (very common) , Vengeance, Zekk Drum Toolkit, rejection beats samples. If you mean sound selection for leads, unfortunately it's quite difficult to copy leads from songs as they are often layered with multiple parts. you can still find some amazing packs of presets which I recommend you study and just experiment mixing together until you have a sound you like! (good preset packs are Oniichan kawaii serum presets, ulagumo presets (free I think), aethral zaphias or cyberium) hope this helps

*HELP* Awesome tutorial! I actually just bought the FLP but I am having a problem loading Serum and I've tried everything to fix it but no use :{. So when I open the project, everything loads properly EXCEPT Serum, it fails to load and I'm not sure what to do. I read online that i may be using a different version(?) of Serum (VST, VST2, VST3, AU etc) and read that I should download all versions. I ended up uninstalling Serum and reinstalling but I only saw versions like VST2 and VST3. I still have not been able to solve the problem and don't really know where else to look for more information. like I said, amazing project and I would LOVE to be able to study it / use presets / etc. ANY HELP would be amazing and appreciated. Thank you.

@@mattic7788 hey mattic, I've uploaded the new version; I hope it lets the plugin load! it might not if you aren't using the newest version of serum in VST3 format (the version i have is build 1.363). if this still doesn't work I can send you a list of the presets used in order then you can replace each instance of serum in the project with the one on your machine then load the preset.

Because I'm going to college soon for computer science but I would also love to study music as well, but I'm not sure what exactly I should study and was wondering if you would share your thoughts?

@mattic7788 im glad it worked :). i'm actually in a very similar situation!-- im studying A Level music right now in the UK (which i think is a similar level to AP classes in the US?) and I am looking to do computer science at college. i know for a fact in the uk there are joint degrees like music + math etc. if you are interested, but if you are interested it could be worth taking a look at music software development in your own time; after college it could be amazing to go work at a large sound company such as native instruments, xfer records etc. if you'd like to learn more search up 'JUCE' tutorials on youtube (theres a good one by freecodecamp). JUCE is the framework that powers lots of audio plugins nowadays.. in reality for me I think I'll study pure computer science but keep music going as a serious hobby on the side for now :) hopefully that explains it ok!!
