This was excellent teaching. Thank you. I hope to create my own gathered lampshade some day (sooner rather than later). Your vlogs are very inspiring 🧵✂️💡
Excellent video thank you! I live in the USA and India tape does not exist here. I tried Joann, even Amazon but i had to settle for twill tape. So now that I have watched your video I will start wrapping my frame. You made everything so clear!
Hi, there. I so love your work! I live in the USA. Can you recommend American types of products that we can substitute in order to follow your instruction? Do you ever travel to the USA or know about similar products like lightweight cotton twill tape? Cotton India Tape just isn't avail here. I am on my first lampshade and trying to find support in my quest to recover a first lampshade, a task that is almost extinct, here. Seems like most would let it die than give up the instruction of passing on the light. I am just looking to create good work and light. This art is clearly a dying one unless you appreciate beauty. Best to keep it alive and thriving!
I’ve always used cotton India tape.. from what I know of twill it would be possible to use but be careful it’s not too thick or too wide. The cotton Indian tape l use is very thin very pliable and approx 1cm wide. This works for most frames.
Hi Julia... I don’t have a video yet on lining a lampshade. There’s lots of options. I have Blogs on my website covering 2 different styles of lining. www.JSInteriors.UK
