Here in batam island, indonesia. There is this indian uncle who sells roti canai n paratha as a breakfast which is really delicious. In just 2 hours, everything he makes is sold out. Totally legit.
This man is a master at what he does. The finished bread looks wonderful. Would love one day to travel to areas such as this a try all the delights. Thanks
He's reminded my father same ,no rolling pin everything made by his hand 50 kg flour.truly its a blessed hands.& work of art.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤲🤲🤲🤲🤲 roti maker's are very hardworking/honest living people i ever known.
everytime after watching a roti making video, I say I get it. and every time after making it by myself, it doesn’t taste the same... guess it’s really art.
The ingredients are so simple that at first you think you'll get it fast, but no. Ive been practicing and perfectioning my recipe since the start quarantine. A slight change in the quantity, technique, humidity/moisture in the dough can affect the texture and taste. I got the hang of it but damn every time I make it, it's a bit different! Now, don't get me started on Indian sweets! They're my favorites but soooo difficult to master.
I did my best to find out why somany people Dislike such a nice video , taken during making such typical and absolutely different Paratha which looks so nice and it will be surly very tasty too i am very confident , but i could not find any reason except one , the Grapes are Sauer . This man is so perfect and full of self confidence , the way he moves , uses his hands , just like an expert who is the master of his creation . His way of treating the matirial is getting the best out of it . It is very hard work and i hope he gets some good earning for making such wonderful and tasty parathas . I never saw somany stupids who dont have a proper reason but they dont like it . He took really very good care of preseving his matrial after preptaions . I wished i could get it , warm and crispy . Just wonderful for everyone old and yong .
Not Worth it to even refer to them. Most important thing I am sure this man is happier than any of them. Look how proud he is while doing his job. He feels lucky having a way of earning his living. His heart is peaceful, their is full of hatred. I pity them.
I really liked the way he made these parothas. Not oily but it looks crispy and fluffy. And following his recipe steps, he is able to make them in a very hygienic manner. His ingredients are very simple, I'm sure they'll taste like old school parothas. I could war them anytime of the day. I find parothas nowadays can be overly sweet. If only I can see how he makes his dhal curry and egg parothas.
Many people commenting on hygiene. That check cloth he wiping is not his dress, its called 'thorthu mund' he only uses it while cooking. He wears it over trousers or 'dhothie'.he will wash that very well after each use & left it to drain somewhere near the spot. This is the daily routine if he is a good porota man. Personally i know a guy who makes this.
Minakhi Narzary even professional chefs and bakers don’t use gloves while kneading dough 🙄😂 how are you supposed to work with gloves on with this type of food? He just needs to make sure he washed his hands properly 👍🏻
I really like Kerala and its People , very different , hard working and having a very different approach in every thing in daily life . O Man , every time i see these paratha , i get hungry and a lot of water in my mouth . He is so good in his work and so perfect in his product . If i ever got a chanceto visit Kerala , i will find him and eat his paratha .
This man is an artist and super hard worker. He would not be out of place in a Napoli Pizzeria. I am impressed by his commitment, honesty and integrity. There is simple pride in his labour.
If he was he would be bigger than them plz don't disrespect such cheffs do you know how much knowledge and skills they have other than having to making a flat bread thing
I didn’t do the last part when I tried making paratha the other day!!! (the part where he slapped the bread) I’ll do that next time. 🙌 Thanks for the vid! He made it seem so easy 😅
dude i love pratta and canai with chicken curry (it is the same?), i remember when i go to the market at morning with my dad there's a uncle who sell this near the market in front of warung kopi(coffee shop) and i love to taste his pratta with my dad
WOW THIS MAN IS AN ARTIST I HOPE THEY GIVE HIM A RAISE. IVE NEVER BEEN SO INTERTAINED WATCHING SOMEONE MAKE BREAD. HE HAS A ROUTINE AN ART. I BET IF HE WAS BLIND FOLDED HE COULD STILL DO THAT. THANK YOU WHAT A PLEASURE.....!
To be honest, that tossing technique is not that hard.I tried it,and it was my first time, and it worked. You should try too.Its not that hard. What you need is a good dough and confidence.Just look hiw he tosses and try to replicate it.Make sure to apply oil generously before tossing,or it won't work
Just try this parantha ..... U will forget everything, just remember the taste .. Good tasty food is like a blessing ...a rain in a hot sunny day 😎😎😎😎😉
This anna remind me of my college day in KANYAKUMARI❣❣❣ every weekend I skipped hostel food and used to eat paratha with chicken mixed with coconut and curds 👏👏👏
True craftsmanship, I love to watch people all over the world cooking. HOWEVER, Hygiene etc is a MUST. I hope the person who who hawked up phlegm in his throat and spat it out in the background at the 3:57 mark has done so away from any other food etc. At the very least it has just put me off the food i’m Watching.
Not to mention the accelerant he was using to get the flames going. He was squirting it just below the grill. I kept thinking : What about splashback onto the paratha's? Not to mention cross-contamination, because he's holding that green bottle with the accelerant, and I didn't see him wash his hands after handling it. Gross. Enjoy your light, flaky cancerous paratha.
