Tutorial how to make Liberty modular origami star.
Spectacular 3D origami star from 6 squares of paper.

To make this star you need 6 squares of thick paper around 7 - 10 cm in size. Tant, elephant hide or light card stock papers are recommended.
The units connect without glue.

Мастер-класс по изготовлению звезды оригами "Liberty"
Чтобы сделать звезду оригами понадобится 6 квадратов бумаги размером от 7-10 сантиметров. Рекомендуется использовать плотную бумагу для оригами, чтобы звезда оригами получилась плотной и ровной.

It's so beautiful!!! I will try this for the holiday season, maybe out of foil origami paper (I got some that is somewhat thicker than normal). Thank you, and I really appreciate how you marked the creases on the white side! You are very good and patient!

I did it , uf , was so difficult for me , and the finishing were terrible , I had to use some glue at the middle and some pockets , if not the start became apart , ja ja ja , but I did it , The instructions are good , but I don't have experience whit origami , thank you Kate , was fun ............now the star is a Christmas ornament at my husband bedroom , I wish can show it but I don't now how to do it here .............., Merry christmas to everyone ...............

I checked and the metric measurement doesn't convert exactly in inches. It turns out to be 3.93701 inches. I was wondering if I make each square of paper 4" X 4" would it still come out right since all papers would still be squares and the same size?

As long as you are using 6 squares of the same size paper, this will work correctly. All folds and pieces will be proportionally bigger/smaller depending on the ratio as long as you follow the same pattern.

Классное видео! Обожаю такие формы, но что делать со звездами - ума не приложу!:) А кусудаму получится сложить? 90-модульники, чур, не предлагать!

со звездами делать примерно то же, что и с кусудамами))) она ж объемная. кусудаму из именно этого не получится (угол не тот). Если поменять угол, то на клею может быть и получится 30-модульник. карманы маленькие, боюсь, без клея не удержится.

Are there diagrams that are free, but unpublished? If there are, is is possible for tou to send the diagrams?

If there were free but unpublished diagrams I'd publish them for everybody ;D I'm always surprised why people think that there exist some free but unpublished diagrams that I will send to someone exclusively(if so, why not to everybody?). I'm always surprised when an artist generously offers their work and time for free, then people ask them for even more - for free. One supposes that the person asking must give away all of their own expertise and time, relying on the kindness of others to pay for their rent and groceries. How fortunate for them. 😘 I have never regretted a single cent I have paid for Ms. Lukasheva's work. It is generous for her to share. 😍

It's a paper type. Pretty commonly used if you need thicker/harder paper (Or that's how I have understood it). Google some origami shops and they should have Elephant hide paper for sale there.

Зачем вы - русская девушка на английском ролик выпустили? Вы надеетесь, что англоязычная публика больше заинтересована? Русскоязычных заинтересованных на канале в подобной тематике больше, вы бы были гораздо популярнее. ❤️🎄

Я русская, но я не вижу проблем в том, чтобы разговаривать на английском языке. Учите, пригодится. Да, англоязычная публика действительно гораздо больше заинтересована. Сюрприз! На английском языке я издала 4 книги, на русском - ноль. Потому что русское издательство такие редкие раздолбаи, коих поискать надо. Контракт был, но книга не вышла. Население америки 325 миллионов человек, уж не говоря о всех тех образованных людях, которые в других странах выучили английский язык. Население России около 144 миллионов человек. Вот и считайте, где я была бы более популярна. Про то, в каком состоянии находится российское оригами сообщество я просто даже молчу. В америке несколько раз в год проходят серьезные конференции любителей. В России такого нет и долго еще не будет. Еще вопросы?
