***Outer Lands Synth For iPhone/iPad!!! There is not Outer Lands Synth patch in the iOS version of GarageBand BUT THERE IS one that's almost just like it called the Dusty Record Synth (how To find it... Alchemy Synth to "Synth" to "Dusty Record Synth")
****NO NIYNL CRACKLE? If you don't have the vinyl scratch/crackle loops I show in this video then select the Outer Lands Synth and go to the lowest note (the far left key on the typing keyboard, get there by hitting the "octave" button all the way down to the left and play the lowest C note) and it will play vinyl scratch only with no synth! I did a video on it here... • how to get vinyl crack...
****NO RAIN SOUNDS? If you don't have the rain sounds then that is likely because I have MainStage ($30 in the App Store) which gives you all of Logic's instruments, I did a video on it here... • How To Get More Instru... ... beyond that, if you have iMovie it has lots of rain/storm sounds effects that you can drag into your GB project OR you can simply use your microphone (or cell phone) and record rain sounds near an open window on a rainy day!

jesus, the unicorn man made something big here, 99% percent of other tutorials throw around indecphirable words and use 80 plugins and a midi keyboard, this dude clearly explains how hes making the beat and where he finds the instruments without assuming I know where they are. @@thesongwritingstudio5783 I found another good lofi keyboard. If you take the “Fairytales Bells” keyboard (found in the “keyboards” section), go to the visual EQ, Take the Treble and move it to a little over five hundred, move the treble again but upward so that it’s just a tad under 20, move the mid to about halfway between 3k and 4k, then move the mid downward so that it’s just a tad over 20, take the bass and move it to the right so that it’s a little bit below 2k, and keep it vertically in the center, and then use it for lower chords and you’ll melt into your seat and cry with how good it sounds.

Hey Jake! I have had a few people tell me that, one even asked Apple what the deal might be. They came back and said that maybe because I had an older version of GarageBand and have upgraded up several version since then that it may have kept that in my library where the newer versions of GB don't have it? I think a more likely answer is that I also have all of Logic's loops/instruments through purchasing a program called MainStage ($30) which I did a video on here... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YrqAvAQjYEI.html ... hope something in there helps Jake! Also, whether you get into more sounds or not, you have PLENTY of sounds to make all the lofi goodness you need already available in GB! Sometimes people get stuck on not having a couple of certain sounds but you can always find tons of good sounds and if you feel like you want a certain sound that you don't have then you can always record a rain storm yourself through an open widow or even search online for free samples of vinyl or rain etc. Thanks for reaching out Taylor! -Dean

Go to Keyboards, Alchemy Synth, Synth, Dusty Record Synth, Enter in the "eq" section (where it has resonance, modulance, vibrato...) and set the crossfade x and crossfade y to the top right and the vynil vol. / vynil -> fx to the top right as well. play any note and you'll see :) i hope it's not difficult to understand...

haha well all you need to do is record yourself talking and pitch down your voice about 3-5 semitones :). You can hear my real voice towards the end of the video in the part about a processing a talking voice.... nothing special :)

I can't find the list of Vinyl scratches that you showed in your Loops. I'm using GarageBand 10. Is it a separate installation?

Hey James! Yeah, a few people have said the same thing and one guy reached out to Apple who said that it may be that I had an older version of GB and brought those files into the newer version of GB. If that is the case and you're looking for vinyl crackle then I would definitely look at the Outer Lands Synth as it has build in vinyl crackle. Even I faced that problem, as an alternative I used the Outer Land Synth and hit the left most key on the keyboard, it does not add any audible note, just adds the vinyl sound.

Great video! It helped me a lot to create my first Lofi Beat. I also really liked the instruments you recommended at the beginning, I could never find the perfect one to match the Lofi vibes! :D
