Sir, watching you create your beautiful teapot was enjoyable and very interesting. I’m fascinated by how many steps it takes to create each piece, and to see the glazes transform after firing was not only beautiful but very satisfying too. Thank you for sharing this video with us - I look forward to seeing more 😊. Kind regards from Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺
This is the version they didn't make, where Beatrix poisons her victims, instead of carving them up with a katana. So she gets a tea serving set from a master. The working title was _Kiln Bill._
I feel you. I never liked hot tea. My mom used to give me hot tea with honey and lemon when I was sick. Maybe that's what ruined it for me. But a couple years ago I was getting into healthy eating and learned how ginger tea is very good for my ailments so I started buying fresh ginger and making it. Now I love it, without sweetness and especially without lemon 🤮. I started using a tea bag in it too, because I had so many in my cupboard. Now I buy tea bags in lots of flavors for my ginger tea. You ought to try ginger tea.
How do you prevent the pieces from warping in the kiln? Everyone that I've ever talked to, from professors to people who have been making pottery for their entire lives, always says that with pieces like jars and teapots you fire the parts together for the first and second firings so they can settle together. Is it just the shapes you're working with are very stable or is it a property of this kind of porcelain? If its just the shapes I might try it out I've been toying around with the idea of making another teapot for a while now but lids are the bane of my existence.
Well, that’s what he did, didn't he? He assembled the teapot, lid and all, before firing. It was only after glazing that he fired some pieces separately, and I presume by that point the components were fully baked (?) so warping wasn't then an issue. I hope I haven't misunderstood your comment - I'm also not a potter myself (but having seen how beautiful and satisfying the process can be, I'm tempted to try it 😊.)
@@chaqillenikita748 No I went back and rewatched the video and it made more sense. I think the first time I watched it it was super late and my brain just wasn't working lol
