There's millions of people around globe wants to make this planet green. But they are spread across and not united. To save this planet we need a global movement. How do we unite all them together so together we can built largest forest in face of earth. It's need of this century.

I have 2 dwarf moringa trees growing in my garden here in Central Florida, it is doing great and I grew the trees from seed about 4 years ago, I have trimmed it a lot and it just keeps producing leaves which I dry and turn into moringa powder, I also eat the leaves fresh. It is a wonderful tree to have if you are in a warm climate as it originates from India. I got my seeds from Baker Creek and thought the dwarf variety would be better in my small backyard garden and really has worked out great, the only thing since I trim it a lot I have never gotten any seed pods growing, thanks for sharing your forest with us.

I like your videos. Thank you so much! You are a example for me. We ( my husband and I) move from Germany to Uganda and want live here sustainable. We bought land and I want build a permaculture food forest like you. We have 10 acre and I started to plant Moringa trees. It is hard for me to build the food forest on this big land, but I try. At the moment it is the raining season and I plant now many seeds.

Yet another great video. Moringa leaf certainly makes a person healthy, is blenching not required? To my knowledge moringa tree requires good amount of water. You have nicely clubbed banana and papaya trees similar water absorbing tree. In my garden I have mango tree in between, it doesn't fruit after 10 years
@MyFoodForest
@MyFoodForest 2 года назад
Thanks, no blanching of the leaves are needed! Usually they are sold as a powder which is just raw dried leaves! The cooking just destroys many nutrients and enzymes!

Wow! Great video again! Thanks. I learned a lot! I never knew that they were so easy to grow. Good to know! Maybe I get to try the trick with the seed someday soon :D By the way, maybe next time you can put moringa in the title or so. I was doubting if I wanted to watch the video or not. But if it had Moringa in it, I would've clicked faster for sure. How much moringa do you put in how much of salad? I find them to be a little bit sharp in taste and when you put too much the taste dominates and makes the salad taste not so nice. By the way do you sell your powdered moringa as well? I learned about the moringa tree when I was in Suriname in 2019. We ate the unripe seeds which tasted very sharp :P If you grow moringa trees from a branch of a grown tree, will they produce a main root or just the smaller roots? Because without the main root the trees sometimes fall over in a storm I heard. But that's the case with marcott (marcotteren is the Dutch word I don't what the word is in English). This guy, Dennis Tauwnaar, told me when we went to visit his farm. He has a really nice food forest as well! He's also the one who taught us about the moringa tree. Pikin Sranan bio-farm Marcotteren Avocadoboom - RU-vid ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7pjJvTAmvyM.html It's in Dutch, but maybe you can understand the technique by watching the video. Those roots start to grow on the tree. This is an avocado tree. But I think the method you show is better if that's possible with the plant or tree you have. I have actually grown quite some marva (lippia alba) shrubs in pots at home using this plant cutting technique, starting with just a few sticks. Only Love!!!
@MyFoodForest
@MyFoodForest 2 года назад
Thanks for the input - you are right I probably should change the title and put moringa in it.It is possible that they make smaller roots when planted form sticks, but I got so many and also lots from seed that I do not mind if some break off, as they make a really good mulch for other trees, they have lots of growth hormones inside this plants that help others to grow:) I use only small amounts in salads, , but I use them almost every day little bit in juices, smoothies and salads. Thanks for the link - will take a look sounds interesting!

@@MyFoodForest @My Food Forest You're welcome ;) I understand. Thanks for all the info! How do you know so much? You're welcome! Dennis knows a lot. I don't think he is really big on permaculture though. I think they've been farming for 3 generations or so. He says it has worked, so why do it different. But he really know a lot. If you ever contact him tell him I told you. Jashvant Badloe, the raw vegan with long dreadlocks and white clothes from the Netherlands. Search for Pikin Sranan.
