Here’s a simple recipe for no-sugar homemade mango popsicles:
Ingredients:
• 1 large ripe mango (or about 2 cups of mango puree)
• 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice (optional, for a tangy flavor)
• A pinch of salt (optional, to enhance flavor)
& honey for sweetness.
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Mangoes:
• Peel and chop the mangoes into small pieces. Remove the pit.
2. Blend Ingredients:
• In a blender, combine the chopped mangoes, filtered water, lime or lemon juice (if using), and a pinch of salt (if using). Blend until smooth.
3. Taste and Adjust:
• Taste the mixture. If you prefer it a bit sweeter and the mangoes are not sweet enough, you can add a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup, but this is optional.
4. Pour into Molds:
• Pour the mango mixture into popsicle molds. If you don’t have molds, you can use small paper cups and insert popsicle sticks after partially freezing the mixture (about 1 hour in).
Don't fill till the brim. Fill 3/4th of the mould.
5. Freeze:
• Freeze the popsicles for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely solid.
6. Serve:
• To release the popsicles from the molds, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds. Enjoy your refreshing no-sugar mango popsicles!
