You’re a legend! Dude we needed this. I like Johnny’s tutorial, but I love the fact that you had a mistake and corrected it live. This is super complicated stuff that I would like to incorporate into my fledgling channel
this video is gold!! Im a beginner of AE and i feel so empowered after watching this video. I mean, I know I can actually make effects like these just by following your guide! Thank you so much!!!
A naive question perhaps. When film-makers use third party products such as Google Maps' photographic record of localities, does this create a legal minefield when the material is used for commercial purposes?
It totally depends on what you're using it for. So I imagine it's case by case specific. You'll have to check out the documentation here - about.google/brand-resource-center/products-and-services/geo-guidelines/ There are various use cases, such as fair use and online video purposes.
I'm not a mapmaker but this video is so well done. You put a lot of work into it and it shows. It's one thing to know how to make stuff and another to actually be able to teach and explain it in an interesting easy to process way
Thank you Boone! I'm a small youtuber that was inspired by J Harris to create videos, but my current work sucks, and this tutorial will be a great help for me. I love your work and contents, definitely will check your others work - love from the Philippines ❤️
Man you have absolutely no idea what these videos are to new people in this field , more power to you mate ,making those sort of animations were a dream for me and you are making it possible , btw where can i support you
thank you man I Loved it. I use AE to do some motion graphy and I randomly came a cross to your video, it was a big surprise to me that there is a google earth studio out there and you can make these kind of scenes with AE and 3d map. i was always wondering how they make these kind of videos ( maps in specific places with animation applied ). great content, keep going!
Hey Boone, I signed up to Google Earth Studio right now, it says the availability is on a case-to-case basis. How long do you think it will take them to approve?
The Track Matte pulldown didn't have Alpha for me. Not sure if it's a AE 2023 thing, but it only allowed me to select the layer. That worked, though. Just thought I'd chime in with a possible update.
This is an incredible tutorial. Absolutely perfect. I also want to get into the educational content creation domain and this tutorial is a blessing. Thank you very much for this... Subscribed.
Yo Boone ! The keystroke to center anchor point on layer in AE is cmd+option+home / ctrl+alt+home Love this video man they are so incredibly helpful. I have so many questions but need to go back and try this out myself. Thanks for what you do
Hey Bryan, thanks for the tip! I always forget this one. :) Glad you are enjoying the tuts. Yeah the best thing to do is to jump into the program and start tinkering around. You'll find out answers to a lot of your questions, but then you'll just come out with more questions. :)
Awesome! I just subscribed - love this :-) So I made my animation, but my text comes in a bit too late I realized just when I was done. I couldn't find the anchorpoints to "push it back" as to come in earlier? How do I do that?
Nvm I found the solution, Im on a newer version of AE so in the track matt drop down you should select the layer you want to mat with (Text matte layer) There should be two boxes that show up on the right hand side of that drop down option. click the box on the left and that should give you alpha matt. Click again and you will get different Matte options/effects
Been subscribing for a long time and love your tutorials. I’ve often wanted to use Google Earth Studio but was under the impression we cannot use it for commercial purposes. Is that true?
@@BooneLovesVideo I’ve seen all of that before and it still looks like no Google Earth content cannot be used for commercial purposes.🙁 “Google Earth content may not be used for any commercial or promotional purposes.” DON’T DO THIS You may not use Google Earth or Earth Studio content (or Google Maps satellite view imagery) for promotional films, advertisements or commercials. This includes anything used specifically to sell or promote a product, business, or organization. For example, this includes uses such as, but not limited to: close A real estate company showing where their properties are located in a company video close A documentary-style film being used to promote a business or organization close A sports team using Google Earth images of their stadium in a TV commercial If you’re using Google Earth content in an online video (e.g. RU-vid) primarily for educational, instructional, recreational, or entertainment purposes, you don’t need to request permission, even if your work is monetized. But you must still follow our general guidelines and attribute properly.
