I fell in love with this cake the first time I seen it on Twitter, and seeing it again, it still blows me away. I know I've said this a bunch now, but it bears repeating; you really did such an amazing job on it! Oh, and thank you for sharing this video with us, too!
Hello Zoe!! Love love love Marshall cake. As you had mentioned Marshall is my favorite character as well. I am super excited to do him. I also loved that you free handedly did the cake rather than using a template. Thank you so much for sharing such as amazing tutorial!!😀😊🙌👍👏❤
This is an amazing cake Zoe! Dare i attempt it for my little boys birthday? 😂 What size cakes would this work for and how much extra space do you recommend to need for the cake board? Would doing the helmet in the same way you did rubbles one work? Thanks! 😊
You should definitely give it a go! :) You can use any size cake you like (base it on your comfort level or how many people you need to feed), but I tend to use a board 2-3 inches bigger than the cake as a general rule, but it really varies a lot and is personal preference. As well as taking into account if you are adding text to the board and such. Sorry it's been such a while since i made this one that I can't remember the specific size I used :( Good luck!
I really love your work...i actually learnt from your tutorial how to mold fondant toppers bt mext tym when ur cutting the 3d cakes please show us a side view as well...look at it from above isnt enough..thanks
I have a challenge for you, in fact you might be the only one who can do it. I would love to see JJ from Cocomelon, either as a big face cake or a fondant figure. The reason I ask is because someone on Fb who I consider to be a master at replicating characters recently posted her clay JJ cake topper, and I think it’s the very first time she didn’t nail it. He looks like an old man instead of a baby because of deep folds from his nose to mouth, and the deep indents below his brows, towards the nose. Those areas should be smoothed out, in my opinion. Anyway, hope you’ll consider doing it.
