Yea cymatics is good but after using them for a year I realized how generic they sound so I don’t generally just use the sample straight up I either processed them to my liking or get new sample packs or samples from splice
Isn't this Chillstep? I mean, it's 80 BPM and there are no growls or other dubstep-like elements. Also, I feel like Melodic Dubstep often has a lot more energy than this..
For the energy one, u got it right. I've made melo dub with full noise and scream leads. Also chord saws need to be more detuned and the bass not so sawish, more like distorted sine.
sawtooth waves and a whole load of filter automation. Also, you could fiddle with other peoples presets. My favorite free synths are Surge, Vital, Synth1 and OB-XD
I recently got started with FL Studio 12 and I want to do something like this, but bruuh it's far away from my reach, but sounds so damn good bro, amazing job here I love this song!
@@Wispveils since I switched to a desktop pc I'm working with Cakewalk now and I even have this small midi piano, I lowkey feel I improved but if you start with FLStudio stay with it, it's the best DAW out there imo
@Vision no bro...the definition you just gave surely proves that it is chillstep, cause tense and emotional situations are described through fast and more tense arrangements. 85 BPM?! You are surely making a smoothy... whatever it is... One thing is true... It sounds amazing!
Ya seem to be missing the dubstep part. Other than that this is some good Future Bass. If you wanna make it mediolic dubstep you just need to add some dubstep growls in the chord gaps.
Hey nice tutorial I just kinda wanna give you a tip when using an EQ; don’t make the cut sharp because then it gives it an unnatural sound so just sorta free it up a bit if you know what I mean
macklin there’s no real difference between dubstep and drumstep other than tempo, since drumstep is dubstep rhythms played at drum n bass tempos. but most people who make drumstep make it sound more unique and i can’t blame them with how repetitive dubstep gets nowadays
Have you ever listened to dubstep. Saw Chords are sidehchained heavily to create this dubstep identity. IT sounds similar to future bass but there's a lot difference...lol..
They are very different, melodic dubstep features bass growls, 8 bit sounds and a screeching, powerful lead. I would consider this more of a future bass track.
