@@michaelsalinas6549 Yeah when A is all the white notes it is the Aeolian scale (natural minor) but when you add the G# (sharpened 7th) it becomes the harmonic scale. Theres also melodic minor scales but we don't need to talk about that.

A Minor is enharmonic to C Major, and I didn’t want to confuse anyone LISTENING to the A natural minor scale and think that it’s the same as C Major VISUALLY because it’s all white notes which would confuse them a little bit. That’s why I mentioned G# because G# is not in C Major but it is in the A harmonic minor scale which is the leading tone. Y’all need to remember that I’m not teaching musicians or those who already understand theory, I’m teaching this for producers that don’t know nor want to take the time out for music theory classes because if that’s the case, then they can sign up for my patreon. But I’m not teaching y’all something that I haven’t went to college for..

If it’s a big issue for the Artist, then the Engineer could easily rearrange it during the session, but sometimes the artist starts off with a verse..

Harmonic minor?

That’s why I mentioned G# because G# is not in C Major but it is in the A harmonic minor scale which is the leading tone, which helps the listener establish the key in A Minor and not C Major.

A natural minor has no sharps or flats. The other minor 2 minor scales are A Melodic & Harmonic Minor, and yes those other 2 minor scales do have flats and sharps.
