Hello! Since I have been craving for Milk tea the past few days and there are no open Milk tea shops nearby because of Enhanced Community Quarantine, I searched how to make it and tried making my own at home. You can try it too with really simple steps and with only 3 ingredients!
Ingredients:
500ml milk (any type milk will do)
10g black tea
30-60g sugar
Ice cubes (optional)
MY GEARS:
Camera: amzn.to/3zxkhmM
Sony lens: amzn.to/3qZVK6m
Other Sony lens: amzn.to/3EZyme3
Espresso Machine: amzn.to/3eXUASZ
Desk amzn.to/3tKeat0
Drawer amzn.to/3Jho2AQ

I'm a Pakistani, Milk Tea (Called "Doodh-patti" or "Chai") is a staple drink, in my household, we drink chai in the mornings with breakfast, and in the evenings while sitting with our parents, it's also a good remedy to many things, people can make Ginger Milk Tea to relieve head aches, and dilute some specific produced spices (they're called Joshanda, they come in small packets) to relieve sore-throat :)

@@clogiz Sorry if this is late but it tastes amazing! It’s like a very smooth tea and the milk mellows out the bitter notes. It’s not as sweet since I would just add 1/8 cup sugar to start out. If you still want it sweeter after straining you can more! It’s just milk and tea so adjust to your preference. You can use also use plant based milk as an alternative, add flavoring, adjust sugar levels, add boba, etc.! This is your own creation so add whatever you’d like. Hope this helps! 🥰

Oh!! It's chae 😂 I was wondering why it's in my recommendation. We drink it everyday morning and evening. I'm habitual now. Can't live without it. Btw you should add tea leaves in little bit of water and boil it first. This helps draw out the taste of the tea leaves better. And then add milk and sugar and boil it all. Strain it in a cup. Voila it's ready to drink hot and tasty with any tea time biscuits 😋
@Drippinonyou

dont boil it as the fat will separate to the top as a cream layer and it will become skimmed milk instead. So simmering longer will be better to retain the full body taste of milk tea.

Addiction is not the correct word for it. Addiction is different than habituation. When I don't drink tea I literally behave like a sick drunkard and I get a severe splitting headache. I don’t see anything wrong with the kitchenware as this is a “quarantine” version. I’m sure we all have our own types of tools to have the same end result. I say this is a homemade version perspective of making a recipe and everyone who’s creative can do the same things with more/less the energy. This reminds me of how I make authentic chai tea, but with packaged organic herbs I bought while in India. I didn’t think to do the same with milk tea this way. Your recipe is a keeper. The best combination. Make a bunch and place it in chiller. If i run out of it,a quick way, i just make the tea in moka pot, then adding milk and condensed milk to make it more creamy taste just like yours.

This is how I make my milk tea I don’t really measure anything but it tastes so good I boil water and put tea bags in (I use black tea) let them sit for about 5 minutes. I then add cinnamon, ,ground cloves, honey and sugar. Then let it sit in my fridge. Sorry I’m bad at explaining things 😍

You can use earl grey tea. Black tea is the most common tea to use. If you want to make it sweeter, try brown sugar or just add more granulated sugar.
@alena6484

Yeah, earl gray would work too! This recipe works for almost any tea but you’ve just got to adjust the sugar a little. You can use white sugar, brown sugar, or even condensed milk!

@dreamer6432
@dreamer6432 3 года назад
Ok so I tried it, and here's what I found: The tea does mix a little better into the milk and when you strain it, the fine pieces of tea are left inside, which could either be something you do or don't like. Also if you're using five teabags, the milk left in the teabags could be a bit of a waste. I'm sure it will work just fine if you put the whole teabag in though.
