@@aaronclark4959 you're not that wrong, however if you had a small guard on this it would be very good. Especially for metal and circuit boards. It would certainly be better at said tasks then a jigsaw...

@@aaronclark4959 or know the bloody thing is dangerous and take precautions. it's fairly good for small stuff where a jigsaw or a dremel isn't ideal, try cutting a 50mm pcb with a jigsaw.

Thank you for sharing. This would be an amazingly practical tool for a hobbyist that would not take much space and would not put the fingers at risk as much as a regular circular saw. You put a lot of skill into making this and it looks very well planned in its construction.

I appreciate the extra little touches you did on this project, like the dust chamber, sleeving the electrical connections, countersinking etc. It would be easy to just ignore these for a hobby project but you didn't. Nice work.

Instead of using the ruler each time, id mark on the board from the saw length so you could just adjust it each time instead of measuring both sides each time

This is a dangerous machine. Few suggestions: 1. Clamp the machine down or make the bottom extra heavy, so it does not move flimsily 2. Put safety cover on top of the blade. 3. Put a visible STOP switch, and put the wire away from the table not across it. Good luck.

Nice! I particularly like the variable power supply which is not really necessary as you are controlling the speed with a PWM circuit. Any laptop power supply would work.

@KJDOT Nice project :-) Just to mention: you missed out to link to the ball bearings and the power supply in the link list. And the bearings mentioned in the video are IMO too big. I think you rather used F625ZZ? Can you please comment on screws used and size of table top please?

Looks good, I think I'd like it without the motor, but with the axle sticking out so I can attach a drill to it. Would be great for cutting down the length of plastic architrave or trim.

one tip, if I may - please use a contrasting text color during the video white text against your pale work area doesn't show up very well, and it actually took me several minutes to notice it was even there. otherwise, I applaud your DIY spirit.

I can see uses for this little tool. But it is deceptively dangerous. Need to be real careful around this thing. One commenter mentioned clamping the thing down. Good idea!

Spent the days before Christmas in the hospital. They were talking about amputating my thumb because I did not take a table saw just this size seriously. Turns out vascular surgeons don't want their Christmas ruined by spending it on some idiot who does not have a life threatening injury. They phone in instruction to a very inexperienced student doctor (thank you Doctor Fuller) who Thank God and him saved my thumb. Because this is small take it more serious than the big ones.

@@KJDOT A big bright colored button on the side facing you that cuts power to everything, and a cover for the potentiometer to prevent accidentally bumping it on would really make this project fantastic. You could also add a colored piece of vinyl or a sticker a couple centimeters around the blade to help guide fingers away from it.

How to measure the distance between the motor and the pulley? And the belt tension cannot be adjusted. There is not enough explanation.

There were two peices you used that were not in the parts list, one was a washer and the othere i belive to be like a coupling @4:49 to prevent the axle moving bacck and forth.

indeed, I would try to add some safety features aswell. Oh and build a little tool to push the wood or PCB I want to cut, because the hand gets uncomfortably close to the blade

@@made-in-china5331 , но меня больше цепанул инструмент, которым он этот станок собирал. Высший пилотаж. Зенкер с хвостовиком - я таких у нас в продаже не видел от слова совсем, так как специально искал. Поскольку все зенкера на РФ делаются без хвостовиков. А значит, тупо гуляют, и соосность отверстия НЕ совпадает с осью зенковки. Приходится делать насечки на шурупах и и ими зенковать. Потом, какая-то насадка магнитная на отвёртке - и сама отвёртка - супер-пупер класса, Wiha вроде. И даже паяльная лампа, он ей проводки усаживал - тоже впечатлила. Но эти инструменты одни - стоят целое состояние. Набор отвёрток Виха - 15 тыр. Это не за косарь китайская подъёба с Али-экспресс за 999 рублей.

@@kentavr_rus3228 Препод судомоделизма, что нибудь говорит? А так же слесарь по металлу, мебельщик, мастер-резчик стекла, строитель отделочник, а так же худ обработка металла. Как думаешь, могу оценить это творение? Эти моторы нуждаются в охлаждении - раз. это как судомоделист говорю. Посадка шкива на гладкую ось (велика вероятность проворачивания )- два. Корпус сделан по принципу чтобы было - три. clip2net.com/s/43T6HeV clip2net.com/s/43T6KXH Вот и мои "поделки" корпус блока питания подсветки клавы и модель :D
