Thanks for making this. Not all of us have fancy money for circuit cute and printers but we do have packing and “garbage” . This shows everyone that a few simple tools can create really wonderful components.

I have the fancy cuter but I still save that garbage because I don’t have the money for the supplies needed for the fancy cuter…or the hobby, or the other hobbies, or food and bills lol ect!

I really like these windows, especially the one you aged with the mixture of dirty black paint water and orange paint. It looked so realistic after you wiped most of it off, and left a subtle look of rust and ageing. It's amazing what you can do with some old cardboard and plastic packaging. This is what I love about making miniatures. Love from Amanda in Australia

Thank you so much! My first try with windows before this video was carving them out of popsicle sticks, very dangerous and got lightly injured. I love how easy and safe your way is, and I love how talkative you are also!

You are a very good teacher! I'm so glad you showed up in my feed. Couldn't have seen this at a better time, however! I have acquired an old, neglected doll house that needs all new windows! It seemed like a daunting task, but now I feel I can handle it. New sub, here! Thank you for this great video!

An awesome addition to your tools, rotary cutter used for quilting or paper craft. My hands can't hold an exacto very straight, I wobble it especially for wood. Loved your video ❤.

Ok, first up… these are beautiful and I can’t wait to try your techniques on a gabled roof that’s half windows. And secondly… I made stair stringers today, ALL THANKS TO YOU. I’m very grateful. Your math helped me figure out in 1:36 scale… 6” risers / 12” treads / 12’ ceiling height / in 21’ or less. I’m making a model house I’ll probably never be able to build, but can’t get it out of my head… so making it out of cardboard. I’ve never done this before… it’s so much fun. You have the greatest job ever. Thanks for sharing your gifts and expertise. 🙏🏼💞

I enjoyed your video, you explained everything so clearly. I have a question, I am trying to build louvered windows for an old shasta miniature camper, and I can't get it right. Have you built these kind of windows before, I need help.
@OilersWorkshop
@OilersWorkshop Год назад
Yeah sheet styrene works great, it’s a stiffer material that glues in place fast with super glue. It can be cut with scissors also, you might mess with some of that

Came to your channel for information on integrated LEDs into diaoramas... Loved what I learned and couldn't believe how many little things from our interests and curiousity in similar subjects, the seeing things for what they could become, even that AH-HA!! moment we became aware that mini-modeling can take you to another place-a place where time slows down and the ADHD is harnessed a bit. Here I am 3 or more hours later, just a few hours before I need to be getting to work.... Stuck in the rabbit hole of Oilers Workshop, wondering just how damn hot your wife has to be if your dog is that ugly!? She's gotta be SMOKIN" HOTT... like a full send 12... Love your channel, can't wait to get off work later and soak up more!! JK please don't be offended about your wife, but the dog hit every branch on the way down.. no lie

Can you prime your cardboard so it won’t soak in? I practice with baseball card sleeves. You can get them in bulk and it’s a good size. Fairly cheep.
