Your videos are great fun, your deconstructions of 80s classics are thorough and mostly accurate. If I may point out one "mistake", without claiming that I could do any better, but you're usually missing one key element utilized by most 80s producers. The saw synth sounds with a staccato effect are usually not created by playing the notes in a rhythmic fashion. Rather, they use sustained sounds that sustain through a whole bar or until whenever a chord change occurs, and the staccato effect is created by a volume gate opening and closing in a rhythmic manner. The difference is not quite so noticeable in a complete mixdown, but if you listen to the isolated tracks, the volume gate effect sounds a lot smoother. Try it!
