Perfect for all happy occasions.
This recipe was shared by Nellie Dungersi. She uses mug measurements, I converted them to measuring cup.
1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups Besan/Chick pea flour
1 1/2 cups Semolina/Sooji
1/2 cup milk powder
1 tin condensed milk
1 tsp cardamom powder
Saffron few strings
Pinch of Yellow food colour
1/2 cup almonds coarsely chopped
Chopped or powdered Pistachios and Almonds for garnish
Mix Besan/Chickpea flour and Semolina with the butter on the stove until golden brown. While mixing add cardamom powder and saffron. After golden brown turn off stove add milk powder and condensed milk. Add food colour. Mix well and put in tray. Garnish with pistachios and almonds. Must be completely cool before cutting into pieces
