After watching several of your tutorials I've finally got it down. And now I'm creating my own isometric art. It's really cool and satisfying thanks for your videos they helped tremendously.
you're welcome :) i wasn't into using 3d effect in illustrator either until seeing Monument Valley game art. i'm planning to release a couple more videos on Monument Valley....stay tuned.
When I create the 3d rectangle, and I try to make the towers, the guide for the rectangle doesnt have the 2 frames, just the outer frame...you know why this happens?
sorry guys...been super busy lately. not sure what are you guys trying to do. to make it less complicate, you don't really need a guide to begin with to make those towers...making those squares? and you only need just one square not four (squares) like i do.
At the 18:50 mark, when I attempt to merge the circle and rectangle together for the hallway I can't seem to find the correct pathfinder tool to do so. I tried to follow along but the tool I selected will cut out everything and leave the triangle (ground of the hallway, so to speak). any advice? *using illustrator 2018*
Actually that's not what I meant, I tried creating a cube using 3 blocks, left, right and top sides, when trying to align them I use the outline view, the lines are not straight.
