I LOVE KPOP we’ve been waiting forever for someone to comment on this 🤣🤣🤣 it really doesn’t feel like I’m doing it when I’m actually filming then when I watch it’s like what the heck is going on!
@@DeJesusCustomFootwear i would like to be next to you my bro when you're cuztomizin a shoe i really into this and that's my next move i love art I appreciate your videos im learning a lot from you...blessings 🙏
Great info, you hit some many pointers I been thinking about. I definitely need to get out to events in my city. It's always a shoe event popping up! I would love to do RU-vid videos one day, hopefully I can have a channel started this year🤞🏾
I want to know how it works with the lv sign and disney figures etc do u have to pay someone so u can work with that .... like its brands so can u just draw and paint and sell orr do you have to pay someone ?
I would say it can be a relatively bit of a grey area, you deifnitly aren’t suppose to mass produce with their trademarks .. but by creating one off artwork you’re in good shape
Both work fine, but if you buy the shoes for the client now the price is even higher for them on an already expensive item so just something to consider
Eric Thomas boxes we started out with packlane, then switched to local when we were ready to order in about 4x the quantity of packlane.. tissue paper go through China for sure. Most of these things have to be ordered in pretty large quantities for it make any sense cost wise
@@fukcg00gle95 i appreciate that. I started did a couple pair of sneakers and a pair of boxing gloves but i switched my focus primarily to clothing. I got a little design studio set up with a cutter and a press.
Refreshed Customs absolutely! Definitly something that takes some time and I’ve noticed the best people have found a way to stand out even if it’s just a little bit from everyone else
This is a clear example of someone who read a book on “Effective Communication” that said to use your hands and body language. This guy took that and now has to talk to the camera while doing jiu jitsu
Man, Ive been doing this for 5 years as just a hobby but I think you are doing it right! Give back to the community! Hope you guy continue to blow up! -Matt
Can you please make a video on pricing I always feel like I’m not charging enough for how big or small it is like can u explain how pricing charging works
Do you recommend artist should tell their clients to give a deposit down before they start or should they expect their client to pay afterwards since clients are sending their own shoes to get customize?
Thanks for the info!! As a starting customizer, its great to have info from someone in the game. Although we still have to go thru the grind, these videos help us grow and avoid pitfalls. 💪💯
These videos are so helpful and Dillon you have been the MOST helpful to get started, I followed your how to start with $100 and I’m on my 3rd pair now, but already have a small waiting list after my 10 freebie customs. Thank you for being so helpful to all us beginner customisers
Great video. Your definitely helping the culture with your knowledge and experience in this business. I started customizing way back in 2005 then stopped, moving on to graphic arts. Back then it wasn't easy getting tips on social media the way it is now. Much respect! ✊ Your work and way you move on social media inspires me to get back as a footwear customers. Keep it up and stay blessed! 🙏 🙏 for the shout out. -gato
gatovalue my man! Thank you for your craft it’s a pleasure for our entire community to watch you as you truly stand out! I’m going to send you a pair of vans soon bro going to need that Gato treatment! As always appreciate the support
Really love and listen to your tutorials man. I just started my customizing business with just a handful of small tools and a little bit of drawing skills. But I just dont know how to make videos
Love your videos. My only question is. And I’ve always wondered this. If you’re selling it publicly. Can somebody come back and get you for trademark or copyright infringement? Or do they realize that it’s not a big deal.
Just wasn’t sure. You’ve been in it for a while I just wasn’t sure. Love your videos. Inspires me to create. For myself and my kids. Just was wondering. Thank you so much for the response.
Ok I’m a upcoming shoe artist and I wanted to know where to sell the shoes! And if my client want me to design there shoe, how do I get it and ship it back?
Any tips for getting the shoes to build a profile? I wanna start custom vans but don't wanna throw a ton of money into buying shoes to custom make and the business not picking up.
jesus how do you feel about getting the shoes shiped to home . i havent made a custom pair for anyone yet but i wanted to know when you get your first customer and later on down the rout is that when you use a p.o or the post office? If anyone else with experience got the answer let me know.
