Home made mosquito salve
1 Cup olive oil
large handful or plantain weed
Rip up plantain weed and put into a pint lar or larger
Cover with EVOO. Muddle to mush up the leaves into the oil just a little. Cover and let sit for 30 days.
At the end of 30 days measure out 1 cup of olive oil and strain out any leaves. Throw the leaves away. Add 2 Tablespoons melted beeswax and stir in olive oil. while it is still warm pour into small jars and place lid on jars. Store in a cool place until you use. It will thicken up as the beeswax hardens.
To use, rub a small amount on any bite or itch. This will calm the itch.
